Great Stay! Really nice stay. Spent two nights here in preparation for a week long MINI Cooper rally up to Seattle. The hotel was easy to find, very clean, and the staff was friendly. The room was nicely laid out and clean. The location was quiet and we both got a good nights sleep. Plenty of eateries nearby. We were directed to the Saltgrass Steak House and it didn't disappoint. If you're in Amarillo, this is a great option, for sure!

Good short stay Returning from a trip and this is where we decided to stay. Checked in around midnight. Waited a few minutes at the front desk as no one was available. The man who greeted me was very friendly. There was no available disabled parking and he allowed us to park at the front door which was much appreciated since it seemed only available parking was in the back. Room was on the first floor near one of the exit doors and was visited by little bugs from outside, so I wouldn't want to stay in that room multiple days, hence only 4 stars. Amenities were available, refrigerator and microwave, including a Keurig. Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee, yogurt, and pancakes if you want to make them in the pancake machine. This seems to be a very busy place. I might not stay at this location because it is very busy and try some of the others we passed on our way. I thought it was quite expensive, but may have been the time of year as other hotels were as well.

Okay The rooms here are very nice. The breakfast is good. The staff was great! I would have liked healthier snack options, but they were, after all, just snacks. I actually wish there had been a place for lunch or dinner on or near the premises. The one negative is that they allow dogs here and there is no non-dog floor. I'm not sure that would have mattered since we heard a dog barking from another floor through the bathroom vent. Worse was the dog across the hall somewhere that howled off and on all night. Now, I can't speak for everyone, but I go to a hotel to sleep. I like dogs, but I don't want to hear them all night. Honestly, from now on, I'm going to be more conscious about staying at hotels that do not allow dogs, when possible. I've stayed at too many where dogs barked near the elevators or when passing by a room, etc. Sometimes, it's hard to get back to sleep once you've been wakened. This was the worst, though, since it was all night long. If not for that, I would give this place a five star rating.

New and definitely well appointed This was the best of 4 Holiday Inn Express hotels we stayed at on a recent trip, possibly because it was the newest. The only problem we had was our GPS wasn't sure how to find it. In addition to a good bed and a good shower, it had some exceptional features: ceiling lighting in main room, built-in platform for suitcases, a convenient hook for a hand towel (amazing how many hotels omit this), and heat control that worked well.
