Safe, clean, comfortable They definitely treat us like family and go out of their way to make sure we get the accommodation we request. We respect them though and book in ample time

Would stay again The service was great, friendly. Clean accommodations. It was just a stop over and would do that again. A little disappointed in the “breakfast “, but that’s not why I stayed there.

BINGO I was looking for a place to stay in Amarillo for 1 night. I'm cheap. All I'm doing is sleeping. I want: A clean room, a firm bed and soft towels. A quiet HVAC system is nice, too. The Microtel in Amarillo got all of my needs met! BINGO! The staff were nice, too.

"FIXED BY CHUCKY" We stayed here to go to an early doctor appointment, chose Microtel because of positive past experiences. Positive: Lobby and breakfast area appeared to be clean, entry and hallways were easily accessible for wheelchair, sort of roll-in shower, non-smoking room smelled good, room was large, the sheets and towels seemed clean, but well worn and scratchy. Coffee for breakfast. Negative: The door barely latched and had large gap so you can easily see into the room from hallway. Even with the deadbolt and exterior lock the door was very loose when we told the desk clerk, she said I would just have to lift the door from the handle to make it latch, but was not bothered by its loose-ness when latched. The fire alarm was hanging from wires, creepy full wall tinted mirror over beds made you think it was two-way glass. There were holes both repaired and unrepaired in the walls in the bathroom, bedroom and the mini-fridge looked as if it had Chucky trying to remove the ice from the outside. The drawers were broken (more Chucky treatment), the drapes were frayed in front of the window that had a breeze coming through the frame. The chair looked as if there was something spilled and dried on it but not cleaned. We even had to ask the front desk clerk for soap for the bathroom when she finished texting. The breakfast items were stale, but there was a good selection of kid friendly Saturday morning cartoon foods.
