Bare Necessities But Great Bed Very basic room with one fridge and one microwave plus TV but no kettle or iron though you can get coffee or tea at the Welcome Office. Bed is really comfortable and room is clean. Strategic location as it’s just off the freeway. Great for a short stay over if you’re hoping from state to state.

This Motel 6 needs to turn the lights off!!! They still have the old a blankets I mean like 30 years old. The pillows aren’t much younger. It’s just sad all the money they make and can’t upgrade. Totally pathetic. My pillow was so flat I slept in my arm. I could have slept in my car and had a better experience. All the other motel 6 have upgraded. They owner here is a BARE minimum guy and needs to put his pants back on.

A Horrid Place What a wretched place to stay. The room had worn out sheets and pillows, mold, noisy AC and several flies. There is insufficient parking to accommodate the rooms that contributed to night long noise. The check-in circus continued till 3 am. This place seems to attract the most inconsiderate guests - yelling children and parents slamming doors at 230 am. We should have left for any other motel at midnight but stuck it out with almost no sleep. Avoid this place if you want to sleep or care about hygiene. They couldn’t pay me enough to ever return.

Motel 6 & fire station #9 Had a pretty good weekend stay was first trip to Amarillo. Rooms were clean sort of liked no carpet some motel carpets are sticky nasty so the vinyl woodish flooring was fine with me. Had plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed which could have used a board across the foot to keep mattress from sliding down when trying sit in bed and watch Tv. The first night we checked in late around 11:30pm and didn't see fire station #9 but around 2am I became aware of it's across the street location nice to know helps handy if ever needed. Next night had a AC hiccup told manager and was promptly moved to another nearby room with a fine AC more issue for me wife had the issue then she was cold darn it over all was good weekend motel smack dab in center of any and all stuff we needed.

Clean rooms No complaints against the motel. Stayed 3 nights. Most important thing for me is that the room is clean and the bed is comfortable, and they delivered on both. Staff was friendly and helpful. Area is a bit noisy, but close to just about any restaurant, shopping center, and attraction you might want.
