IHG points 800 is not trustworthy Tried using my points and the agent told me the hotel was too full and I asked her to call motel. Pause she came back on and said their system is the same and I couldn’t get a good price or use my points! Does she keep the difference? So knowing I couldn’t use points directly I called hotel for a gold member price. The desk assistant was amazing and accommodating. And IHG. Did not call. What a shame the franchise folks have to put up with people from corporate who are not willing to work with guests. Our member account goes back to mid 80s

Management not good I’m a loyal IHG/Holiday Inn Express customer but Management at this hotel is not like other IHG properties. I found them to be inflexible, unwilling to accommodate situations, and frankly rude. I called to ask if there is anything they could do to wave or reduce the one night stay penalty for a late cancellation. I became ill the day we were traveling and was not able to go. My stay was only one night so I was basically going to have to pay the entire fee and I knew it was a very busy weekend and they could rebook the room. On three occasions in the past 20 years of staying at IHG properties, I’ve needed to cancel past the deadline and every property graciously removed the fee and wished me good luck in the the unexpected situation that changed our plans. Steve said he did not have the ability to do that. I then asked for my cancellation which I made online trying to free up the room for them to use to be reversed and he quickly chuckled and said I dont have an undo button. Through this process he was asked by his front desk staff and guest services to return my call and never did in the timeframe indicated that he would. Steve should not be in the hospitality business and I will not stay at this hotel under the current management.

Not going to return The room was ok, bed was comfy. Towels are extremely scratchy and rough. Breakfast was a joke. Egg whites with veggies and turkey sausage. This was at least the second day this was served as the signs never changed. Expected more from Iowa. The “fresh” cinnamon rolls were so dried out and hard you couldn’t even eat the center, much less the outside. The bananas were over ripe. And we were early. I get the hotel was mostly empty, but what a disappointment.

The prices are competitive They probably could get away by charging more for the rooms. The rooms are standard, clean. The front desk clerks could be more friendly. The interstate means that the first room we got was a bit noisy.

Hotel is OK for a Good Price The front desk seemed a little mixed up as they dealt with customers. The rooms were ok, could have been cleaner and no updates. The breakfast was ok, with some hot items but seem to be out of several. Ended up eating the cold items.
