Good value Two bed room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Generally things were clean. Overall though the place was dark. The room felt dark, the hallway, the lobby, and the breakfast room. The neighborhood was sketchy as well. Overall good value.

OK, but for the price, Needs some attention Plus side; The hotel had nice vibe when we arrived - nice reception area with some interesting "Alaskan" decor. Our room was on Level 1, which was effectively a basement room as our window looked out onto a retaining wall. Breakfasts were a step above the usual hotel fare, with yummy warm cinnamon rolls on offer. Airport and train station shuttle good. Minus side: However, beyond the Reception area, the place was showing signs of lack of maintenance. As we left, I gave the Reception desk a written list of things that needed attention in our room, including: . Carpet wet under air con unit . Cabinet door over refrigerator off on one hinge . Bath spout coming off wall . Ironing board is broken and doesn't stay up Etc

We enjoyed our stay here We stayed here three nights in June before taking the train to Denali. We enjoyed our stay. The staff is awesome and gave suggestions on places to go/see/dine in the area. We didn't use the shuttle, but others seemed to be pleased with that service. The breakfast was ok (normal hotel breakfast food). We also used the laundry room and the pool and found them both to be clean. We would stay here again on a future trip to Anchorage.

another great hotel during my Last Four Tour As mentioned elsewhere, I embarked on a Last Four Tour last week. I wanted to see the last four US states I had not yet visited before I turned 60. 50 before 60 as I called it. Both Dakotas, Alaska and Hawaii were on my list. Everyone here was so kind. Liz, Virgie and Faiiu really made my stay lovely. Liz taught me how to catch the bus. It's right in front of the hotel and you can be downtown in 20 minutes if you use it. I highly recommend this hotel. It was clean and quiet! I even did my laundry without any problems!

Pretty good Overall a great stay with a big room and good service. I loved the fact that the shuttle came to pick me up at the airport only a few minutes after I called the hotel. The van came for me only and it wasn't booked in advance, so I was very pleased. There is a great seafood restaurant next to the hotel. The only negative thing is the free breakfast : the pancake machine is nice, but the meat and eggs are awful, it's not real food. I hope they will improve it. Still a good experience and I would stay there again.
