Travelodge by Wyndham Appleton

Travelodge/Appleton, WI The room was very clean and comfortable. The property was very well maintained and I will try and book a room there on every trip to Appleton, WI. The owner and staff were very friendly and courteous as well.

No pool! They do NOT HAVE A POOL. You have to check in at a total different building. There is no service at this location.

Beware of Dirt When I checked in, the receptionist said my room number out loud for all to hear and then proceeded to tell me and everyone else in the room where it was. Had I been traveling alone, I would have left immediately. Upon entering the room for the first time, the smell of cigarette smoke filled my nose. I put our belongings in the room and hoped it would go away before I returned. After my son’s baseball games, we reentered the room with the smell still lingering. Working as a housekeeper before, I checked the filters in the hvac unit and noticed they have not been cleaned in awhile, if ever. So I cleaned them myself in hopes it would improve the air quality. I tore back the sheets to the beds and these were clean, so good job there. But when I pulled the chair out from the desk there was a bloody bandaid on the floor and more garbage underneath the beds. In the morning we woke up and all our feet were black from walking on the carpet. The vanity area for the bathroom was new and clean. The shower had great water pressure.

Hope you have time Check in is a long confusing process. Some of the staff seem to be bothered by something. Other than that the accommodations are clean and comfortable.

Not impressed The room was tired-looking, not what I expected from Wyndham. We were unclear if breakfast was complimentary. The room was not made up nor was linen replaced for our second day. It was not a good experience.
