Enjoyed Stay Rooms were clean. Beds were nice, sheets and blankets need refreshed. The whole placed could use a refreshing but overall we had a great experience. Breakfast was quality but minimal, coffee was hot.

Stairs for hiking The Stairs were very steep and there was no elevator. I Would have chosen ground floor if I had known,

Not a good night's sleep - glad it was only one night Definiately not a good night's sleep. Late evening check-in, with the following issues: (1) Front desk attendant didn't speak much English, difficult to communicate. (2) Accessible room is at far end of building, so be prepared to walk quite a distance, due to limited parking at that part of the building. (3) Smoke detector was beeping due to low battery - called front desk, and after 4 tries, he got the battery changed after consulting others by phone. (4) Workmen parked a work truck outside my window and were making lots of noise. (5) Denny's restaurant next door was closed. (6) Shower was technically accessible (no shower stall lip), but no hand wand was available, making it not usable from a seated position.

Filthy Previous guests’ trash and hair were on the floor and bathroom surfaces, tub/shower would not drain (housekeeping ignored it), and dead insects were present.

Clean, reasonably-priced rooms and friendly staff Cleanliness is my top priority when traveling, and the Super 8 in Ashland, OH delivered a spotless room and bathroom. It's an old-school style motel, but my relatives who live in town told me it's clean and well-managed, and they were right. It's not fancy or updated, but the essentials are all there, including complimentary breakfast (coffee, juice, cereal, waffles). The price was extremely reasonable. We interacted with several staff members, all of whom went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful.
