Great Poolside Lunch I was recently in Aspen attending the FIS Audi World Cup Finals and stopped into the Sky Hotel for lunch by the pool. Weather was awesome and service matched. Great vibe with lots of cool people chilling. Food was great and didn't take long to come out of the kitchen at all. The woman working was a great server and made us feel really welcomed. Pool and waterfall are awesome. Full bar with really cold beers. If you are looking for a place for lunch or a hotel to stay at in Aspen then check out the Sky Hotel cause its awesome!

DON'T STAY HERE - HOTEL STAFF WROTE IN THEIR OWN TIP, REFUSE TO RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINT One snowy evening in February, I bought several bottles of wine from the bar of this hotel after being informed, rather tersely, by bar staff that they were closing early. Excusing the rudeness to tired people I asked for the bill so they could close me out. Well, they brought me the bill, I wrote in a $10 tip (remember, there was no service here) and proceeded to serve some of my colleagues myself. Then we noticed that the far wasn't closing, in fact, several dozen more people had come into the bar and like any other bar on Earth, the servers were working the room. Several of my colleagues complained to me that the servers were rude (they didn't witness my interaction) and I informed them that we would not return as my second adventure at the Sky Bar was almost over. Or so I thought, when I started reconciling my receipts and credit card charges, I noticed that someone at the Sky Bar added $20 to my bill. I immediately called and asked for an explanation and the bar manager informed me that "his people do what they always do." They write in their own tips? I asked. "Would you like your $20 back?" was the only response I received from this rather rude bar manager. I can tell he trained the staff... It is not about a $20 charge, it is the principle of the matter. You can't simply take what you think you deserve from others without their permission. Any organization that allows such behavior cannot stand for long. I bring more than 200 people to Aspen every year and I will NEVER use Sky Hotel/Bar for anything. Keep the $20.

Over priced and pretentious Our room was at the end of long dark hallway that overlooked a parking lot. Basically it looked like an old motel that had been remodeled with fancy wallpaper and some updates. The TV remote did not work in the room. As I was checking out the girl behind the desk was complaining loudly and vulgarly about the way people who do not live in Aspen proper were treated by the Aspen locals. Not impressive. I will say the rest of the staff at the hotel were excellent. All show and no go for me.

A Little Tired We stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our Breakfast was included each day but unfortunately it was only for the buffet which never changed in the week we were there so needless to say we were very tired of scrambled eggs bacon and sausage every morning. There was also fresh fruit and yoghurt but again no variety. Also some days I am sure the lady serving the coffee and clearing up did not want to be there. She very rarely smiled and was not very helpful. On a positive note the guys in the ski room were incredibly helpful and friendly and always had a smile and knew who we were. Loved the way the skis were carried upstairs each morning and put away each evening. The rooms are not huge but adequate and in a great location. However the hotel is very much in need of renovation and updating. Would we go back? Maybe!

Excellent Location! Fantastic Vibe! The Sky Hotel is absolutely fabulous! Excellent location and fantastic vibe throughout this entire hotel! Dining Room overlooks the face of the mountain. Rooms are small but have every amenity with fabulous leopard & zebra robes. Sounds strange, but terrific! The party scene is amazing after skiing with great music, drinks & food! The chef certainly takes pride is in menu and offerings. Spectacular! This is an amazing boutique hotel and I would highly recommend it to all!
