Unclean rooms Pet hair had been left from previous guest, as if the room had not been cleaned and it smelled old. For the price you pay to stay there, it definitely was not worth it. According to my coworkers, their hotel offered a decent breakfast, Graduate Athens only offered complementary coffee and we paid the same price! The pool conveniently closed a couple hours before I had to check in, so my husband and kids had to find other things to occupy their time while I was training all day.

Mold, Mold, Mold The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated, beds are very comfortable, and room and bathroom are clean. The problem is the stairwell, hallway, and room smelled overwhelmingly like mold. I was in town for a training along with 200 other people and all the people that stayed in this hotel in my group complained of the mold smell.

Wanted to love it We have stayed at many Graduates and love them. This Graduate was not the same as others. It was dirty and the rooms smelled musty and moldy. The rooms do not have central air, rather window units that did not work. The restaurant and bar are not open and their was no breakfast offered either. The staff was nice and tried to accommodate us the best they could.

Mr My wife and I just stayed here at the Graduate Hotel Athen,Ga. My wife's company setup the reservation for her and advised I would have to pay 1/2 of the room bill. This was understandable and expected. I came with the funds to cover that expense however at check In the very rude desk clerk said no we had to pay for the whole hotel bill and seek reimbursement from the school. This was not explained to us by neither the school or the hotel. Due to this unexpected expense I had to pay cash for the week hotel stay. If at that moment there was a different hotel close to the classic Center we would have left this hotel. But we were stuck. So I paid over 600.00 dollars cash for our room. At this point I was disappointed but not upset. We planned to just move on and have a good stay. Then we get to our room. The room had a strong musty old smell that hit us when we walked in the room. Then we moved farther into the room to find no amenities. After paying 600 dollars I expected the level of a 4 or five star hotel like we have stayed in on many other occasions. Such as microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and towels most places even offer a hair dryer. This place offered only a refrigerator that was hot, it was not even cold. I did realize with the refrigerator being closed up in a cabinet that the compressor was getting to hot and shutting down. I blocked the cabinet doors open and did get the refrigerator to cool some. This room was lacking in almost every way for what you would expect for a 600 dollar room. This place dose not even offer a continental breakfast like most lesser quality hotels do. I am less than pleased with this hotel. I will not stay here again nor will I recommend this hotel to the many friends at the school we know and definitely will not recommend to friends and family. The bottom line is value (vs) cost and comfort above all. You have failed in every category I could check on a quality survey. Definitely not worth the money. We have stayed at roach motels for less money and had more amenities and breakfast. This hotel is sad and lacking. Can't believe I was forced to stay at this worn out run down lacking hotel and then payed $600.00 for the privilege of the dump. Sad,sad, sad.
