Safe and comfortable location Easy check in, nice grounds. Might be nice to have a bit more grass area for dog potty but with the location that is out of the hotels ability. Always great to have breakfast included in our stays. For us this was walking distance to the mall as well. Felt safe at this location and they were very welcoming to our dogs. The fitness room was great too!

Loved the refreshed hotel! Great location as all the stores we wanted to visit were nearby and easily accessible. Hotel was under renovations which didn’t affect our stay at all. Room was bright, clean and new! Loved it. Front desk staff and kitchen staff were fine, construction and cleaning staff were very friendly. Out of the three Hampton Inns we stayed at, this was the best. Other locations were Port Huron and Roseville/Detroit. Would stay here again over the others. Only very minor con was not being able to have microwave popcorn due to local fire rules. A first for me!

OK hotel, poorly managed - wouldn't stay here again The room was decent; the bed was on the worn-out side. However, there were some very annoying issues at this hotel: 1. The clock was not adjusted for DST by mid-December. I woke up with a start, thinking I was an hour late, until I saw my phone. Basic maintenance! 2. The website says they are doing a renovation. I found only upon arrival that there was not a regular breakfast - only a cold breakfast in a box. This should be clear on the website, not announced on arrival. There is a McD next door. 3. They add a "mall surcharge." This is not disclosed on the Hilton reservation site, but the amount is included in "taxes." The hotel keeps a surcharge, and this is NOT a tax. This was about $4, but it is not transparent or honest. 4. The TV goes to Fox News each time it is powered on, no matter what I watch when turning it off. Other than annoying, automatically going to any politically charged channel is inappropriate - someone's agenda? Not a bad hotel, but it seems management is not customer-oriented. Plenty of other options for next time!

Smelled like something died in our room. Room #314 - don’t stay there. Tried to mask smell with strong deodorants. Don’t stay in #314. Smelled so bad we could not sleep but hotel was oversold and got in late and had plans early next day. Towels were dirty and clothes had to be washed immediately when we got home as they smelled like the room. So gross. They tried to mask smell with Lysol and some strong deodorant….didn’t work.
