OUTSTANDING ROOM AND GREAT PERSONAL! My wife and I have been traveling all over the U.S. to teaching hospitals trying to get treatment for a very serious illness that has totally disabled me. All I can say is I only wish this hospital I went to here was 1/2 as good as the room and the treatment we received during our stay at Candlewood Suites Augusta! From the day we made our reservations with manager Betty Carter to the time we checked, we were extremely happy with everything during our stay. The price was right for the accommodations we received and the amenities were equally way above average. Everything in the room worked, a novel idea in this day and age, and the room was equipped with the best cooking equipment we've ever had! The bathroom was super clean and everything worked flawlessly. (Better than the one in our 1st starter home!) There were "2" closets, and "2" TVs on top of this. The grounds around the motel were also spotless and safe. There were no gangsters or derelicts hanging around outside hanging around either. My wife and I felt safe and secure the entire stay in and out of the room. The two assistant mangers who we dealt with were efficient. polite, and extremely helpful. The housekeeper stopped us in the hall and told us, "if you need anything whatsoever, just let me know." This review is accurate and was not requested by management and I received no reward for writing it. I will stay here any time I come back to Augusta and would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants an affordable, clean, safe, well equipped room in Augusta, GA. Keep up the great work Betty and your staff also---You guys are the best.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE While staying at this establishment my girlfriend was randomly questioned by the GM Betty Carter and never gave her a reason why. Once I was told this because the room was in my name I headed down to the lobby to find out what the issue was. I ended up stuck on the elevator for right at an hour if not a little longer. I had to call the front desk to let them know that I was stuck. They were not able to get in contact when the gentleman that works on the elevator and after called the fire department after my third time calling the front desk from inside of the elevator. Once the fire department finally got me out of the elevator we all went to the front desk. One of the firemen told Betty that she needs to have an elevator key to avoid this from happening again. Another guess that was just sitting in the lobby also stated that the elevator had been messing up that morning and the day before. At this time I'm talking with the GM Betty to find out what the issue was about with my girlfriend and why she was questioned. Betty then says "There was no issue, I let her know that she looked exactly like this young lady that damaged some property here." My girlfriend then states "that you never told me anything." and Betty never said anything after that and doesn't apologize for profiling my girlfriend. I then asked If I could please be moved to the first floor or could I please get my money back, Betty then says "We will get to that." I then said, "I don't feel comfortable getting back one an elevator that I was just stuck in for up to an hour. Betty looks at the time on the wall, looks back at me and does this same motion two more times. I then say to her "ma'am you looking back and forth at between the clock and I, isn't going to change the fact that I was just stuck in the elevator." I explained to her I use to work at one of the sister hotels under IHG and I know that you can do something to help for my trouble. The sales manage Joe then steps in and says "Oh no, we aren't going to do this when she has just told you that we are out of rooms." Joe pulls my girlfriend, my sister and myself to the side and says that he is going to give me a full refund and 10,000 rewards points. (so thank you Joe, but I am still waiting on my rewards points) While my girlfriend and I go to pack up our belongs my sister was told to come back to the front desk with Joe so he could finish taking care of the situation. Betty then starts to ask my sister "Is this Felycia's address?" and says my address aloud in the lobby for everyone to hear. My sister says "lady, whatever information that is on the paper you are holding is between you and whomever approved the reservation and please don't talk to me. Betty then says these people are impossible to work with and tells Joe to call the police. I had been staying at the hotel for years because it was a nice a quite hotel. I don't recommend that anyone stay here due to the lack of responsibly that the GM's takes on their part. Don't work in hospitality if you're going to treat the guess like they committed a crime.

Making good changes Finally got it right, This is my third stay over the last three months and the management at Candlewood Suites seem to have finally gotten it right. Great staff on shift both at night and morning which has a huge impact the how effectively the operations run. Rooms are cleaned and the staff pays attention to the little things like recognizing your IHG rewards status. Great place to stay if you ever get a chance to.

Don's always believe what is written My experience with candle wood has been great. As an extended state guess...i have enjoyed the professional staff. Any time I need something they are there to accommodate. I want to thank Crystal, Saray, Haley, and Robbie. The entire staff. I have witnessed difficult customers and no hotel can know what kind of clientele they are checking in. They have a wonderful little cubbard where you can purchase things on a honor systems. I have witness people stealing, They are pet friendly, but I have witness people not pick up after the pets and pets urinating on the carpet. The staff have to clean these up. People are smokers, yes there should be a designated area, there are no signs telling the guess where to smoke. Maybe this will help when customers complain about the smoking. I have enjoyed my stay and I feel safe. There are places up the street and they are not so safe. So come and visit and feel appreciated and safe. i am an honest person and I believe in giving people their kudos. KUDOS TO CANDLEWOOD SUITES. New furniture would be nice when you get around to it. Thank you the whole team.
