Do not trust this hotel! I would advise you to use this hotel. My son and I had a reservation for the Friday night prior to the Augusta National Womens Amateur Tournament. When we arrived that evening from Atlanta, we were told that they had “cancelled” my reservation. I had made the reservation in February for $149.00. The desk clerk took my license back into the office and made a phone call to his manager. When he came out, he said that they had cancelled my reservation due to the low price they had promised in February. He said that they could get as much as $500 for the room the week of the Masters. Of course, I told him that we were, in fact, there for Masters week. He said that they had contacted me about the cancellation. When I asked for details to this phantom contact, he said that they had called me earlier that day. When I showed him that my phone had no calls from Augusta that day, he changed his story and said that it was another day. I then showed him my call log on my phone- back to before I had made the reservation. I also showed him my email history with the hotel- none since the confirmation! In the course of the conversation, he changed his story to include multiple attempts to contact me. Of course, none of that ever happened. I explained to him that even if they had tried to contact me, they never did! He did not seem to understand that had they attempted to call me, and not been successful, it would not count as “contacting” me. Communication requires two entities, not an unsuccessful attempt. Keep in mind- I had already proven to him that I had no missed or completed calls from them, so, the communication discussion was hypothetical only. I then asked that the least he could do would be to work on finding us a comparable hotel room in the area. He refused to do so, offering us a chance at a sleazy motel that he knew had rooms. This was unacceptable. So, don’t believe them when they “confirm” that a room has been “reserved” at a promised rate for a given date. This hotel broke their word and gave away my room for a higher price. The clerk blatantly lied to me when changing the details of his story several times during our discussion. No effort was made to help find a comparable room after stealing mine. I have issued a complaint to the BBB of Augusta but don’t expect this dishonest ownership to respond to the complaint. Do not use this hotel!

Why leave kids unattended Very nice hotel. We checked in Friday afternoon. Appearantly, so did a group with 10 - 12 kids. All the kids were put into two rooms on the second floor. From 11 PM - 4 AM, both Friday and Saturday night, it sounded like a herd of elephants coming through the ceiling. Complained to front desk multiple times, the adults were in their own room downstairs. Why would you allow kids to run wild and give them a room with no supervision?
