Staybridge Suites Augusta, an IHG Hotel

WORST PROPERTY IN IHG LINEUP----DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! BLUF: I am a diamond elite member and IHG ambassador: THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN 30 YEARS!!!!!! Positives: 1. The bed was comfortable. Negatives: 1. Neither giftbag nor points given for being a diamond elite member 2. The housekeepers spent a good bit of time in the hallway laughing and talking to other staff 3. The room was NEVER cleaned on the day scheduled during my entire stay. Cleaning day was changed by hotel staff at least 3 times, without notifying me. When I spoke with management at the front desk (within ear and eye shot of the OWNER) was given excuses and made to feel that it was my fault, the guest, for the room not being cleaned on the day it was scheduled to. 4. There was no fire extinguisher or fire suppression system. 5. There was a large accumulation of dust/dirt collected on the HVAC intake vent in the bedroom. There was no filter in place for air to pass thru for filtering purposes. 6. Dried food on dishes, pots, and cutlery. 7. Laundry room door would stick and had to be opened in an unconventional way after getting the green light from card swipe. 8. 1 working washer out of 4. 9. Dryers would take much longer than normal driers to dry clothes….ended up going to a local laundry mat to wash and dry clothes 10. Peep hole in door is at least 6 feet high 11. Parking is limited. Staff would park in the closest spots to the main entrance. 12. Heavy grease spots on carpeting. (photo taken) 13. At least 1-foot-long gash in wall. (photo taken) 14. Exposed electrical wall outlet. And the coup de grâce….called front desk to check out at 0923, the front desk personnel was extremely rude…..at 1450 I called the front desk to say I haven’t received my folio by email…again same person, and same attitude….she stated “you haven’t gotten the folio because I haven’t sent it yet, I need to check out the room first!”…..in 30 years I have never had been treated with such disrespect ever, let alone a hotel, and a Staybridge Suite which is SUPPOSE to be one of the “nicer” properties in IHG’s line up. Plus, I am waiting to see they will credit my account 6 days because one pays a week in advance. Conclusion: THIS IS THE WORST PROPERTY OF IHG. THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT OSPITALITY AND CURTOSY, LET ALONE HUMAN DECIENCY. THIS IS A TOTAL OWNER PROBLEM. HE ALLOWS SUCH HOSTILITY AND LACK OF HOSPITALITY……DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!!!!

There are lots of nice places to stay not far from this place. This place is not typical of a Staybridge Inn at all. It’s not clean and the staff can be extremely unhelpful. The housekeeper will leave your room with fingerprints on the mirrors and faucets, they rarely vacuum and it seemed to just anger them when you ask for service. They offer a sparse breakfast every morning, (no healthy options.) nothing even one second before the start time. They put out some junk snacks three evenings a week. You are monitored and you will be served whatever they think the highlight item is. The kitchen is old and outdated with employees hanging out in there on phones. This stay was not worth the aggravation, definitely not good value for money. They don’t even try to make you feel comfortable.

Great Location Great location and awesome and friendly staff. They offer hot breakfast and Evening Social dinner with hamburger and Beer and Wine. Great spacious room with LED light vanity mirror .Hotel is very clean and Nice out side putting green for evening time to enjoy

Terrible experience Upon arrival of our family Christmas getaway of a family of 5, we were greeted with the lady at the front whom we seemed a bother too, then we gather our belongings and head to the room that we were assigned too, after an inspection of our room we found that it was filthy… Soda cans under the pull out, lighter, balls of hair, marijuanas droppings, and the bathroom was untouchable also. I called the front desk to let them know this was unacceptable and requested a new room as there were no openings at other hotels during this time. The lady at the front was extremely rude, but put us in another room, the other room was cleaner, but not by much, I had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean the room for our stay. The bathroom sounded as something was constantly dripping in a vent and the toilet would constantly run. Every time I had asked for the manager I was given excuses after excuses. We had no choice but to “tough it out”. Furthermore, I went to do what was supposed to be a quick load of laundry took me four hours, and nothing was even washed, soap was still stuck and soaked, I could barely carry them, so it cost us another $30 and 2 hours of our vacation time to complete them at a laundry mat. Again, I asked to speak to the manager and was lead with another excuse and a bad attitude. The gym equipment was not in working condition or clean. Moreover, if we were to get in later in the evening the entire lobby smelled of marijuana and had to rush my children into our room. We enter our room to a continuous beeping that lasted two nights that has made it impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, we were forced to continue to stay at the hotel as it was booked months in advance and nothing else was available once we arrived. I am saddened that we saved all year to have a wonderful time and this is the way we were treated. We have stayed at several Staybridge suites and have NEVER had one issue. This particular hotel is NOT Staybridge Quality! Very dissatisfied!

Clean Room My team stay at Staybridge suites in month of July.. it’s nice and clean hotel . Offer good amenities and offer good hot breakfast buffet in the morning. We also enjoy social dinner Monday and Tuesday with hamburgers and beer and wine Good and helping staff in kitchen
