Disappointing Bed was lumpy. Cleaning service never removed trash. Left coffee soaked towels we used to clean up carpet in place. Neighborhood families used pool - we saw them pack and leave - probably because the back door is unlocked. Generally not what you’d expect from a Doubletree Hotel.

HUGE Rip Off. Find an overpass, it will be cleaner. Considering how expensive the room was, this is one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. 1) There is a fee for parking. This hotel is located well outside of downtown surrounded by apartments, business complexes and residential neighborhoods - there is a deluge of empty parking lots, yet this already overpriced hotel chooses to gouge its customers by forcing them to pay $10. This is not included in the charge for the room and must be paid separately via QR code. I wonder where that money goes. 2) The hotel is disgusting. There was trash piled up all over the place - the hallways, by the ice machines, outside of people's rooms, etc. There was also leftover plates of food outside of rooms that had been knocked over and ground into the carpet. Nobody had bothered to clean the place in days if not weeks. 3) The air conditioning was off in the hallways. It was late June. For those of you familiar with Texas summers, you can imagine how that might affect the smell in the hallways with the trash situation they had going on. 4) The fridge was broken in our room. Not a big deal for us initially as we figured we could just get some ice to keep our perishables cold overnight, but of course.... 5) Every single ice machine was out of order except for 1 which was out of ice. The first 4 Ice machines we tried either did not work or had a sign directing us to another Ice machine that was also broken. We finally found one that seemed to at least work but of course it was out of ice. We had to throw away our food. 6) The bed was broken. If I could upload a video I would so y'all could hear the clunking sound every time we sat down on it. Overall this was an incredibly disappointing and infuriating experience. We ended up paying close to $200 for an uncomfortable, disgusting hotel that is badly mismanaged, understaffed, and seems to be run by someone thirsty for cash and wholly uninterested in providing a decent lodging experience. I don't know how Hilton allows their brand to be attached to something clearly lacking in quality. Do not stay here unless they offer to pay you instead. Biggest ripoff ever.

HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!! DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL! Stay somewhere other than here!!!! This hotel is in dire need of a current update. Reasons listed below: 1. Seriously overpriced for junk of a room. Dirty carpet. Hall carpet wrinkled so you stumble oveer the wtinkles. Toilet didn't flush. Maintenance was called and he looked in tank and did nothing. It continued to not flush fully for the duration of my stay. TV only gets local junk channels. Not a smart tv.....no movies! Room was either freezing or too hot and mechanicals were extremely noisey. I shut them off for sleeping and you could still hear the noise drone of all the other rooms. Water in tub takes forever to drain. King size mattress was horribly uncomfortable. You rolled downhill right to the middle. 2. DO NOT EAT IN HOTEL RESTAURANT. It is seriously overpriced for what you get. With tax it was $19 plus taxes. Waitress was not good. During my only visit she preferred visiting with a table who spoke her native language as opposed to getting us silverware for each table. HILTON!! Seriously......put the silverware where the buffet is. We can get our own silverware in a timely fashion. The food was cold when I sat down....then had to wait for a waitress to finish her socialization. A man finally got up and went to her and asked for silverware for 3 people waiting at his table. Poor service. I spent two nights in this hotel. Just me....age 73. My room charge for two nights was just short of $500.00. WAY OVERPRICED for condition of hotel. I always stay in Hilton Hotels. I'd never stay in this one again. I rate it as second worst.....Mobile AL is #1!!

Hotel stay disappointing; opposite of past exerperiences at Doubletree Hotels Husband and I stayed at the DoubleTree Austin Arboretum, April 5-9, thanks to a points gift from our son-in-law, also a Hilton Honors member. The only positive feedback we can give are (1) Emma in the buffet area single-handedly made our experience pleasant; yummy Doubletree cookies. So much was wrong with our stay, particularly with our room and management. Even though I had called ahead to ensure that requests would be made, they were not; some items, especially foam pillows were not available; furniture was worn, a luggage rack broken and the refrigerator was missing (the first room we had before switching); the second room had plumbing issues and the phone was not working. An exit door to the hotel was broken for 2 or the 3 nights we were there. The first night, Alex said he would get most of what we wanted done in the first room, but three hours later nothing had happened so my husband went down stairs to get the items. Also, Alex told us that we were given $30/person allowance for food and beverage per day; I had him state it again just to make sure. We only had fruit/juice/pastry/coffee the first morning and added a nice tip to the bill which came to $43+ but when the bill came we were charged an amount over the $30. We found out about the amount due when we checked out. I questioned the charge and I was told I misunderstood Alex, which I had not. Alex was at fault for his promises and his statement about the beverage/food allowance. I became irate, not about the amount of money but being told I had misunderstood. What ever happened to honesty and customer satisfaction?
