A bit worn Hampton Inn Stayed here for one night. The hotel is a little worn but clean. The sink in our room had a very small stream of water - pretty tough to wash your face. Bed was comfy. The hotel has a very strange layout with one very long hallway. (It is about 1/8 mile from the front desk to the last room.) We were at the far end but we could park near our room. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of breakfast food.

Very tired and old hotel This hotel is past its prime. It is time for a serious makeover. The mattress, pillows offered no support. The sheets didn’t fit the bed. The side chair sagged. The tub and sink didn’t drain. No bath mat. Towels were thin. Carpet in the halls, elevator and room was dirty.

room smell was unpleasant The toilette was not properly sealed to the floor, which caused it to leak and stink really bad. I didn't get any response from the front desk when I brought this to their attention. This hotel needs a rehab makeover. Most of my stays at other Hampton Inns has been good. Not so, here. Disappointing!

Clean, cool, quiet, and near downtown The room was clean, cool, and quiet. Those are the most important features for us, so we were quite happy with the room. The hotel itself is dated and has a strange layout. Its basically one very long hallway with two floors. The lobby is followed by some rooms, then you have the "convention center" rooms, followed again by some more guest rooms. I can see why some other reviewers rated the hotel poorly on the noise from the convention rooms. They are right in the middle of the hotel. If you want a quiet room i would suggest the higher numbers in the 160's or 260's. We were in room 164. Those are in the very back of the hotel in the quietest area. No foot traffic there either. They have a handy key entry door right in the back, and those parking spots were always open. The staff was friendly enough. One odd item is we checked in via the app the night before and had picked our room. Upon arrival they had given that room away. It wasnt a big deal with us, but it was unusually sloppy for a Hilton facility. We spent very little time at the hotel. Its only 1.5miles from downtown Bardstown. Some of our friends even just walked to downtown. We drove and found easy parking downtown too.
