Disappointing visit We usually have a good experience at the Hampton Inns and the Hilton brand in general. This visit was in a word....disappointing. The check in went smoothly and we found our room to be clean and comfortable. When we went down for the breakfast at 8:10 the next morning, the wheels fell off. There were no eggs, about two tablespoons of potatoes and a few sausages and the only fruit left was a few apples. There was one bagel and two pieces of bread for toast. The waffle maker only had batter for a partial serving. There was no attendant. When we went to the front desk, there was no one there until after a five minute wait. We were told, "We are out of food." Apparently, there was some type of baseball tournament going on and some of the teams were staying there and cleaned out the buffet. This was the first time that I have ever had this type of experience with this brand. It was disappointing that they had no solution other than tell us that there was no food.

Old, Dirty, Smelly This hotel "supposedly" went through a complete renovation a few years ago. However, faucets were hanging out the wall by a thread, initial water coming out was black (you have to let it run a while), the room had a bad odor, there was hair on the bathroom floor, the chair was stained, and the carpet looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in years. It's definitely not worth the money, and definitely not traditional Hilton standards.

Not great Room was so humid that the floor was slippery. One of the kids described the room as “slimy” which was accurate. Air conditioning appeared to be working properly, so not sure what caused the humidity. Breakfast was good and checkin/checkout was pleasant.

Very dirty! This hotel was filthy! I can’t believe Hilton would allow them to bed part of Hampton Inns. The employees were friendly, but they need to train their housekeeping people. The carpet was stained and filthy everywhere. The table tops in the rooms had not been cleaned. The desk chair was disgusting, however, the bathroom was clean.

This hotel needs help This hotel is in despite need of updating and refreshing to the point it was gross. When I booked and stayed this was the Trip Advisor #1 traveler ranked hotel in Batesville. I have no idea how this happened. Either the other hotels in the area are really, really bad or people are adding false reviews. Problems with my room: no window shade so the light coming in the room was a nuisance all night, a/c controller falling off the wall, ceiling falling apart in the bathroom. The carpets were dirty and stained both inside the room and outside. I’ve stayed in other Hampton Inns (even in other cities near by) and am usually satisfied, even impressed but this one was bad. I couldn’t wait to check out.
