Quick Getaway!! Not as bad as they say! After reading so many reviews on here, I decided to stay and check for myself. I loved the cleanliness of the lobby. Miranda (I hope I got that right) was awesome. We had great conversation and she was extra helpful. My reservation was in the system and I received my key with no problem. My room was on the lower deck. The room could use some updating, but it was clean and I had everything I needed. It's definitely an older hotel so don't expect the room to look like you're staying in a Hilton. The room initially had an odor, but it was because the air was off. The bed was definitely firm, but I slept comfortably. I was able to get a fresh set of towels the next morning. I'm not for sure why all the bad reviews, but I definitely didn't see or experience anything bad during my visit. Overall, I will be using this hotel as my little get-a-way spot.

Don’t Stay Here-MANAGER IS AN A - - - - - - We booked a room for 2 nights, checking in April 8th and checking out April 10th. Unfortunately due to a family emergency, we were unable to check in the 8th. We couldn’t cancel the room for the 8th because it was after the cut-off time so understood we’d have to eat the $90 for that night. We got into town about 7 the evening of the 9th to check in and found out our room had been cancelled. We had no knowledge of this happening. We never received any communication by phone call, email or text saying our room was cancelled. The 2 gals at the desk said their manager had cancelled our room because we were a no show, there was nothing they could do, that they called the manager and he was on his way down. His name is Sonny and let me say he is INCREDIBLY RUDE AND A JERK. He basically arrived and didn’t acknowledge us. Walked past us on the sidewalk and went in. Came back out and didn’t like the fact we were confronting him. He raised his voice, told us it’s not HIS responsibility to call and tell us the room was cancelled, told us to call Expedia (we told him repeatedly we booked through orbitz) and he said Expedia cancelled our room, not him and that he’s keeping our money. He then told the one lady to call the cops, and she did. We decided to leave then, but before we did I asked the lady for the owners name. The manager started yelling they would give me no information!! The 2 ladies were standing there, looking at me, not saying a word. It was obvious they could not help me or risk the wrath of this jerk. I really felt sorry for them. So..because every room within a 60 mile radius of batesville was booked we had to drive back to Memphis to find a room. On the way I called orbitz, and told them what happened. They put me on hold and called America’s Best Value Inn. After a couple of min orbitz got back on the line w me and said the lady on the phone wouldn’t let him get a word in about the situation and that she refused to comment on it. They said he needs to call their manager before 8 tomorrow morning. Again, this shows that the manager has instructed them to say nothing about him cancelling our room and I’m sure they are probably worried about their jobs. This guy sucks. Rude, unreasonable, and an all-around jerk. He made the mistake by NOT getting in touch with us about cancelling our room. And, this place is definitely not the Ritz. It’s dumpy and janky. Definitely not worth $90 a night...the price they jacked the room up to. My best advice: steer clear of this place. And dear Sonny, I just want to say to you, bless your heart ❤️

We were glad we chose them After holding a very unrewarding phone conversation with one of the nearby motels, we decided to try America's Best Value Inn and were very pleased with our choice. The front desk was helpful, gave us a very good rate and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was no orange juice at breakfast but otherwise the meal was adequate. We woulod definitely chose it over the other accommodations in the area.

Dated and noisy with very marginal wifi This motel is split into two parts - one closer to the road where I stayed and another part up the hill that looked newer. The part where I stayed was quite dated with a noisy bathroom fan, thin walls, and rather basic bathroom facilities. The furniture and bed were fine, but the advertised wifi was nearly worthless - I had better luck using a personal hotspot from my phone. The breakfast was very basic.

Absolutely disgusting room Had there been another room available in a 100 mile radius we would’ve left but a big game weeeknd left us no choice but to spend the night or head for home (3 hour drive) at nearly midnight. Despite the “non smoking room” placard, the room smelled heavily of stale smoke. They had no Febreeze or deodorizer so we went and bought some. Didn’t help much. Told us they were fully booked so no other room available. There was mold in the shower and on the shower curtain.Didnt see it Saturday night as no one went to shower until Sunday morning Complained to front desk and the man at the counter, Sunni Patel, lied and said only the manager could issue a refund or do anything. Told me to call Monday. I asked for an email address for the owner to send the pictures and was told the owner didn’t have email. Called back Monday and find out the man we spoke to actually WAS the manager, wife (Tracy Patel) is listed as the owner, and his response was “you spent the night. No refund” and hung up on me. Nearly $200 for a room during football season that’s normally $60. My advice, KEEP DRIVING. Contacted Hotels.com who we booked through and were told they can do nothing if the hotel refuses a refund.
