Not accommodating for traveling nurses I was sent to Baton Rouge through my company to work a temporary CNA job for a week. Traveled all the way from Virginia only to realize I did not bring my badge. I attempted to find other means to verify while I was attempting to get a “First Responders” discount. The manager did not provide the space or time, and I felt rushed and uncomfortable

A Memorable Experience First, let me state this: I am not a picky traveler, I travel enough (like every other week, solo) to overlook certain shortcomings about a place, simply because I don't expect everything perfect, even if I'm paying more than a reasonable amount. But not since 1992, at a Knights Inn in Elizabeth, NJ (the kind where they greet you behind a bullet-proof window) have I had such a memorable hotel stay. While I can't say it was that bad, I can certainly say, this hotel is in a dilapidated state, and management ain't doing too much to stop it. The one positive note: The bed and pillows are decent. And the TV Works, and works Good. But the floors, walls,& hallways are dirty. And the bathroom is absolutely Gross. Somebody mentioned Shower Shoes...I was laying towels down from the bathroom to the bed, just to have clean feet before crawling under the sheets. That's after I cleaned my feet...after showering! After a long day, I came back to my gross hotel, walked through the gross hallways to my gross room, only to find my bed hadn't been made. So they forgot I was staying another day, right? Here's the weird thing: they left me clean towels. Time was, this used to be a very decent hotel. I know, I stayed here about 10 years ago. But this new name and new managment pale by comparison to what it once was. Do yourself a favor: Don't stay there, even if the rooms are free.

Horrible Experience I am not an unreasonable traveler. I have been staying in hotels/motels for many years. This was one of the worst experiences. The floors were like coated with something-yucky, no way could I walk barefoot. The phone in the room had no buttons, the shower was weird and bad. The lobby was impressive but do not be fooled. Everything was dirty and unkempt. I am still grossed out. Never a Red Roof again for me!!

Would rather sleep in my car We reserved a room for 2 nights for a home LSU game. The lobby was clean but that was all that was clean. Our 1st room smelled and I was thinking about how I forgot my shower shoes as I looked at the bathroom. My shoes also stuck to the floor as I walked around. We asked to change rooms and met a family in the hallway that were looking for a 3rd room. When we arrived in our 2nd room the shower was cleaner but there was hair in the bed so obviously the sheets had not been changed. It also had a funny smell. We were able to get a refund and we left. By the way, the Courtyard Marriot across the way was very clean and the staff was super nice. I'll gladly pay a little more money for a clean room any day.

You get what you pay for! We didnt pay much and that should have been a big red flag. The hotel was dirty, holes in the wall, bathroom was grungy and needed major work and the breakfast was not good either. We had booked two night that were through a 3rd party booking site so we could not back out. We stayed the first night, but chose not to stay for our second. The young man at the front desk however was great... he gave us some great recommendations which we took him up on. He was the only good thing about this stay.
