Go next door maybe. The only reason i give it a three is because the staff was friendly. The bed a high off the floor. Check your bed sheets to make sure they are not stained. I was in room 212 and quite a few roaches decided to show up. When you see more than one roach I say they have a problem. The lobby is nice. The restaurant if you decide to pay extra and eat there well its not that good. Breakfast was okay but the ceiling is damaged. There is no working gym or pool at this locations. It may have been a good hotel in the past but needs updating “real bad”. The staff were very nice. The location is very good.

One of the least amenable hotels ever You may mistake this for a review of a place like Motel 6 or America’s Best Value, but no. This is a review of the Holiday Inn in Beaufort, SC. It is one of the least amenable hotels I have ever had the displeasure to stay at. It seems the company has cut every possible corner. Where do I start? The front desk computers were not working when we tried to check in. We were told to come back a half hour later. We had a lot of luggage, but there were no luggage carts. One maintenance person suggested using a laundry bin. When we got into the room and tried to hang up our clothes, the hanger hooks were too small to fit over the rod. They had to be pushed down to fit over the rod, and then the hangers wouldn’t slide along it. We tried watching tv in bed, but the bed was so far off the ground my husband had to hoist me up to get on top of it. We turned on cable tv, but there was no printed cable guide and no cable guide through the tv remote. We had to click through each channel to see what was on. One might be fine with streaming content on one’s laptop, but it’s doubtful that will satisfy since the internet was so slow my email wouldn’t load. I tried to make a cup of coffee in the room’s coffee maker. Housekeeping disassembled it “for cleaning” and there were no instructions on how to put it back together. I called the front desk to ask for instructions and was told someone would be up to help me. Two hours later, I was still waiting. Went down to the lobby to see if there was complementary coffee. There wasn’t. By this point my husband and I remembered fondly our stay at the Comfort Inn in Darien, GA, which was infinitely more accommodating. Free breakfast, all day coffee, softer sheets, and a softer bed you don’t need a stepladder for. And the accommodations were $40 less expensive per night. Back at the Holiday Inn for day 2 with no included breakfast, took a shower and went out for a few hours. Came back to a still unmade bed and no fresh towels. We asked Housekeeping twice to make the bed and replenish the towels. They never got around to it, though they had time to socialize in the hallway. Down at the front desk where I asked for some pods for the coffeemaker, I dropped my room key. Even though a worker was standing right next to me, he didn’t make any gesture to pick it up. I guess he’s not aware he’s working in a service industry. Up in the room, I needed to jot down a note, but it seems Holiday Inn deems providing a notepad with a few sheets of paper and a pencil unnecessary for guest satisfaction, as is providing even the cheapest yet functional shower cap. What does this place have over Motel 6 and America’s Best Value Inn? More space, a courteous front desk staff, and a view of the low country.

Enjoyed the bed but not the price. The room was nice and cleaned. The beds were comfortable and slept nicely the three nights we stayed. Staff were friendly. Disappointing that the indoor pool was closed and the shower speaket was loose and drained more in the tub than the shower head and would flood the tub because the tub stopped kepted going down for the price of $149 dollars a night was quite pricey since the website said $93 a night till we got there. Will probably look else where next trip we take.

BEWARE!!!!! We only stayed at this location because they advertised as having a full restaurant and bar, what a joke!! We also paid the extra 9 per person for breakfast. First, the bar had 3 different kinds of beer, that's it, no full bar. The "restaurant" had 4 items that were all previously frozen and smelled awful. The first morning we went down for breakfast and our waitress/front desk person was training someone new in the kitchen, we could hear everything they were saying and it was very inappropriate not to mention how rude she was, The bread smelled like mold, and eggs were barely cooked. I am never one to complain but when spend this much money it's BS. We were in town for Boot Camp graduation and had to be out before breakfast was served anyway and asked to have what we paid in advance for them refunded and nobody had a clue not even the manager on duty. He did tell me he would find out how to do this and get back to me but never did. One more thing, the bugs in the bathroom every night!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!- I would rate it a zero if it was an option!!!

This hotel brings shame to the Holiday Inn name The pool was closed. If Holiday Inn knowingly accepts bookings when advertising a pool that is actually out of service, it is surely false advertising. We made this booking because we wanted to use the pool. No apologies. Only one elevator was working. No apologies. The bar was closed because leaking water was dripping from the ceiling. I was ushered out of the bar when I tried to enter it to go through to the outside deck. No apologies. I made a video of this, but I see from other reviews that leaks are an ongoing problem. Since when has Holiday Inn not been able to keep up with regular maintenance of its properties? The carpet in the room had not been cleaned. We took photos of food debris in front of the sofa and a short piece of cut cable under the room air conditioner. The bed was so high that for the first time in her life, my wife had to use a step-stool to get in bed. No apologies. If that wasn't bad enough, when we were packing the car to leave, outside the entrance doors, a septic tank truck pulled up and the crew started to extract sewage. This was maybe thirty feet from us. The stench was so bad that my wife and I almost threw up. We aren't ones to complain, but our experience was beyond belief, seeing as this is a Holiday Inn. We do not plan to ever stay at a Holiday Inn again.
