Don’t hesitate — stay with assurance My reception on arrival was genuine and welcoming. The room was well appointed and very clean. The property doesn’t disappoint. Fresh everything and while a fog was settled over the bay I could tell that I arrived seaside. Bravo! I even met the property cat - charming.

Not for me, but others may like it. VERY small cabin. Bed was lumpy, squeaky, and far too soft. What was advertised as ocean view.....ended up being a view of the deck rail which was at perfect eye level when seated in the chairs on the very small deck. Kitchenette was about like in an RV. It was quiet. Only service on site was an ice machine. Not for me but others may like it. Comcast TV with no streaming services available.

Cute cottages and motel rooms along the ocean This is a combination of motel rooms and little cottages along Rt. 1 highway and along the ocean. We were greeted with hot apple cider and cookies in the lobby. We stayed in a little cottage that had a full kitchen, table and chairs, living room with sofa and faux fireplace, king bedded room with en suite bathroom and a screened porch. We were only expecting a motel room so we were pleased to have so much room. The king bed was a bit old, but in general it was a very comfortable stay.

The worst bed ever! The hardest, worst bed I've ever TRIED to sleep on. Like a piece of plywood laying on top of a very jiggly box spring. The rest of the place had a reasonably pleasant rustic cabin vibe and it was clean so I added one star to the single star it gets for the beds. UGH! A horrible night at a very high price.

Book it right now, you won't regret it. After three amazing visits, an annual trip to Colonial Gables is now an absolute must-have in my life. It is rare to find such a combination of seclusion and convenience, not to mention both attentive service and comfortable privacy. The cabins are constantly being renovated in the off-season and so each time I come back, my stay has been in a beautifully fresh and thoughtfully appointed place. It is clear that the management of this property has a lifetime of experience in hospitality as every corner of the grounds is well-tended and the staff are swift, friendly, and helpful. Every cuisine, shopping street, and sightseeing highlight can be had within a short drive but you may, like me, spend most of your time on a private porch, watching the tides come in and out, wishing you could stay forever.
