Nice Facilities. Extremely POOR Management The facilities are nice for the price (and for being just a 3 star Motel). The self-serve breakfast is decent and provided as part of your stay. The location is convenient to many event destinations. The heated indoor pool and spa are great. However, every time I have stayed here, something always gets fouled up. The room keys didn't work after using them only twice. Multiple trips to the front desk for many guests ("we got a new key coder...") fine...work it out before I have to continually go to the front desk and trade in my room keys several times per day. Annoying. Also, my attempted stay in May was canceled by 'BARRY' because they failed to reserve a pet-friendly room in advance even though I booked the room 4 months in advance. They just gave those rooms away to whomever was first come, first served I guess? Nice to get turned away and told "you'll have to go somewhere else" after a six hour drive. (Only had to pay $100 per night at another motel). Then when I pressed the reserved room issue, BARRY felt 'threatened' by my behavior and my requests for the Manager and said he was going to call the local police to have me removed from the property for 'trespassing.' Seriously? I also watched him turn away another elderly couple with a small dog because they had already given their pet room to a walk-in who arrived before they did. Of course when the incident was presented to Motel management, BARRY embellished the report claiming intimidating physical altercations, dropping F-bombs, and anything else he could bolster his story with. Note: yes, I was agitated, and not especially 'cordial' because an ADVANCED RESERVATION is just that! You don't treat repeat Platinum members that way. "Oh he's new, and he's only 26 years old...he'll learn better people skills eventually..." Then on my next stay, I used Wyndham points for the two nights. The (another 'newbie') girl 'LUCINDA' at the front desk HAD to have a credit card 'for any room incidentals.' No Problemo, I provided my Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus credit card. No Room charges were incurred. No motel policy violations occurred. Then days later I see room charges for BOTH nights in amount of just under $290.00. "Oh she is new, and accidentally charged the card for your stay...sorry, you'll have to straighten it out yourself." Really? Gee I'm sorry that I totally messed up. They did eventually reverse the cheapest nights stay amount, but the next premium night stay at $180 was now MY responsibility to dispute and resolve. I contacted and spoke to the AGM 'Dawn Goldsmith' both times by email and face-to-face. She apologized, but the charge correction was shoved back to me. Like I have nothing else to do and all the free time in the world. Here's what I received as a reply: "Sorry Patrick, you will have to call Wyndham Rewards for them to correct that matter. Their number is Phone: 1-800-967-8747. But sometimes life happens and you can't make it up LOL." So...I will not be returning. And I warn everyone who reads reviews that you may have issues with a seemingly simple motel stay at this location. Or they may turn you away to go find another place. Or they may double charge you. Or they may require you to fix their error. Is it worth the hassle? No, it's not. I do NOT recommend the Bend, OR Super 8 to anyone. Needs a lot more work. Hire competent people. Train them sufficiently. Supervise new staff work efforts. Build people (soft) skills. How difficult can that be? YOU decide if you'd like to roll the dice. Also, they typically don't have sufficient parking for guests because they book a lot of commercial business (which park both their personal and business vehicles using up all available on site parking spots). Yeah, I love to haul my luggage from the street nearby, why would I want to park on the motel lot?

Great front desk staff Luz the lady at the front counter made my day. She provided 5 star service a budget hotel. There was a line up of about 5 to 6 groups checking in prior to me and she handled it professionally and treated each group as if they where the only one there. Thank you Luz.

Quiet Night The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet; breakfast was great with many items to choose from. This was my 2nd stay and would gladly return.
