Good value Very reasonable, clean, in the middle of being updated so it will only get better. The place is right in the middle of town. Not far from the Bennington monument. It’s also not far from down town. It has a very nice pool in the warmer months. The staff is also very nice.

Absolutely no business being open This hotel is going through a massive reconstruction, and maybe when it's complete it will be worth staying here. Right now I would stay away. Hotel is completely torn apart and not ready for guests. There were dumpsters and debris all over parking area. At check in I was given a random "doggle" for a key and it took 3 times going back and forth with staff to get it to work. Another foamily member was given key to someone else's room. Hotel doors could barely be opened due to paint sticking. So there are some serious safety issues. Looks like the new rooms will be nice, but currently they are very bare, there was no wifi and I was never able to get TV to work.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life DO NOT STAY HERE. ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS YOU SEE ARE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERSHIP. Cockroaches, water pouring out of light fixture, broken toilet, no bedding, construction. Disgusting place with poor service. Will update if I get refunded.

Terrible experience, rooms sold before the hotel was ready Horrible experience that caused us to miss half a day of our vacation. Un-excusable lack of accountability or service. The hotel never should have sold rooms while the property was in the condition it was in. Booked two nights here for a festival we were attending in the Berkshires. It was less than a week out and we already had res for Sat and Sun but needed Friday night. I decided to book Thursday too when I saw the availability at the Vervana, formerly known as The Paradise Inn. Apparently ownership had changed recently and they had just renovated. I figured it would be really nice to already be in the area the day the festival started so we could get there early. Plus the pool looked great, so we were looking forward to spending some relaxing time there too. We were not able to leave Boston as early as we hoped on Thursday, so we called the hotel to let them know we would be checking in late, like after 10pm. This was past 6pm. The GM told my husband on the phone that there was some renovation going on and the lobby looked like a bomb hit it but that our room was newly renovated and ready. He said they were just reopening after renovating and if it wasn't for us then we could leave. I thought that was weird but didn't think too much of it We arrived late that evening. The GM called while we were on our way there and said he would leave the key on the door of the lobby, We drove up and immediately so piles of discarded furniture and a dumpster in the parking lot. There was no obvious signage showing where the lobby was so, or even which building it was in. We drove around and then returned to the first building and my husband looked around and eventually found the lobby and the key with a printout check-in agreement and the number of our room, the code to the building door. We drove around to the back to find our building. Again more piles of old furniture and empty boxes, overflowing trash cans, packing materials and another dumpster. But no signage. We parked the car got out and walked around and determined it must be the building we were looking at. Except there was no clear path to the door. the walkway to the building had garbage on it. Empty boxes, plastic, etc strewn all over it. There was another foot path but it was completely overgrown with weeds and we didn't want to risk getting poison ivy. We walked over the garbage to the entrance ad found the door ajar, not locked, not even closed. Anyone could have just walked in. Inside there were cleaning supplies and equipment in the hall. We went in and found our room door. The number was printed and taped on a piece of paper. The hallway smelled of cleaning fumes. My husband had to really push to get the room door to open once it was unlocked. Apparently it had been closed before the paint dried and thus stuck shut. The room looked fine. pretty spare. No garbage can or water cups or amenities like shampoo, conditioner, etc. The tv turned on but the cable wasn't activated. There was no wi-fi listed. It was too late to call the manager for any of this. The shower had been grouted but not cleaned afterwards so there were hard chunks of black grout on the shower floor along with pieces of plastic. I had to try to clean it out but there was no way for me to get it out without a vacuum. We began looking online for another place to stay but it was too late to leave at that point. We had just spent over 3 hours driving to get there. The next morning as we searched and called around for availability nearby, construction started up in our hallway. We were able to find a place to check into that afternoon so we packed up and went to the lobby to let the manager know we were leaving and return the key. The lobby didn't resemble anything like a working business area. Were boxes piled from floor to ceiling, paint cans, tools, wheelbarrow, a fire extinguisher on the floor. It was a wreck. We spoke with a member of the construction crew and he told us the manager would be out. The manager came out, in bare feet, mid conversation with someone I imagine was a colleague? He did not acknowledge us waiting there for him until we said something. He told us to come into his office so he could pull up our reservation. We followed him and he was very casual about everything. I told him we would be looking for a refund and he said to call Expedia as soon as possible and that he would approve the 2nd night stay being refunded. I told him I would be looking for more than that . He didn't say much. He really didn't seem to care. He said yes, some people chose to leave and some people stayed. We left and killed time until we could check into our other hotel room and then called Expedia to file a complaint, missing a significant portion of the first day of the festival and exhausted. I found out later that other people from the festival had waited 3 hours for their room to be finished. One person's room didn't even have a lightbulb in their room. The manager had an opportunity to tell us that the motel was not secure or safe before we traveled 3 hours that evening. He also had ample opportunity to check out the room himself since we told him how late we were arriving, since he lives onsite. He certainly had time to put a garbage can in the room. But then he would have probably had to put on shoes, so..

Huge rooms Staff was very helpful. The rooms are huge. We stayed in the winter so we missed out on that nice looking pool. I believe they said the hotel is under new owners. There is no breakfast and there was only enough hot water for one of us to take a shower. We had to walk down to the office and they had to turn a switch to get us some hot water . It’s driving distance to the little town. Some nice restaurants in the area.
