Signature Inn Berkeley

Great people here Property is older and rooms are small. But its clean and not smelly. They have 24 hour people in the parking lot so your car is safe. I left my computer bag with my life basically in it after we checked out. I got it back with everything untouched which was a real surprise in these days. Ive stayed in several motels here in berkely and for the money its a deal. Ill be back here next time i visit

ok, but dont expect too much Location is relatively close to downtown, which is how we selected this, being in town for a concert on a weekend night. A short bus ride (or 10 minute walk) will bring you there. There is parking (we left the car there) on site. The room is too small for a kingsize bed; with furniture opposite the passage is too narrow, and can't even open the cabinet for the fridge (with opposite opening door, which made it almost impossible to even use the fridge). The desk chair couldn 't be moved out so you could sit somewhere you wanted. The bathroom was small well-working order , nicely tiled, small, but without hook (apparently something came off the door). The sink with light in the mirror is modern nice thing, but one of the shelves halfs half-off the wall, which makes you feel like not touching anything on it. The building is old, and noise on a weekend night can be well, noisy. The neighbors or had a good moment;). Probably if you're far enough away from University Ave you have less of problem with traffic noise; we also heard mechanical noise, but that stopped midway through the night, so we could get some sleep. The breakfast, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, coffee, was just really more to get you started. There was an empty bowl with a 'fresh' so we could only guess what we missed; it was not attended. The good thing ? It seems like the industry standard for coffee became Keurig, even in the breakfast room, so even though we only had decaf in our room, we could stock up with real caf and make it in our room for starters. The usb near the bed didn't work; near the tv it did. Anyway, you get the picture; don't expect too much, if you need to stay for a night for reasonable price and don't mind putting up with some things, then this might be your ok choice. For us not anymore, if we can avoid it.

Okay Stayed here for one night. I guess the property is in okay shape and the room was okay in terms of cleanliness. There were many hairs in my bed, though it did appear the sheets were changed, so that is at least good. The front desk staff wasn't very welcoming. The room itself is in okay shape. it appears to be recently remodeled and I really had no complaints about the room.

Sketchy Wanted a hotel walking distance to UC Berkeley and this was the closest I could find. The room was not very clean and smelled. The desk clerk was not friendly and gave me my room key and walked away. Breakfast was sub standard continental breakfast.

Affordable clean rooms. Affordable clean rooms. The clerk at check in was really friendly and had a positive attitude! Would definitely stay here again!!! The room was clean and updated. Just needed somewhere to rest before work and this was perfect.
