Great family trip We have stayed at timerberline many times and always enjoy our stay. This is a quaint lodge that offers basic and affordable accommodations if you're going to be spending your time and money on visiting other big bear sites. While having a nice bbq outside, someone from timberline came out and helped us start the fire and they have helped us out with many other things in the past as well. They're also very dog friendly!

dirty cabin, rude owner visited with extended family. was shocked at filthy condition of cabin. bedsheets stained inside and out. insects and cobwebs everywhere. very disappointed. worst thing was when a complaint was made and ammendment agreed by family member and owner, they basically threw us out after calling my sister in law a 'nasty bitch'. i myself was not present when this transpired as i was with my child in town, but my wife and sister in law said the owner was very rude and aggressive in his tone. personally, I'm glad i wasn't around becsuse i would most definitely have reacted in kind and probably more. steer clear of this place.

Honest pricing After getting rather fed up with the various booking sites that say "$100 per night!" and then tack on fee after fee after fee effectively making the nightly fee more than double that advertised, I decided to look this place up again. We stayed before and were happy then - and were happy this time too. This place has a nightly rate, clearly advertised, and then just the standard state/local tax on top of that - no surprises. We stayed in Cabin 7 this time, pretty much in the center of the property. Max welcomed us, ensured we had everything we needed, and was helpful throughout our stay. I'm not sure I remember the lady on the front desk - I think it was Maria? - anyway, she was great too. I noticed some reviews mentioned noise from the road. Well, what do you expect?! Move the road or the resort?! Honestly, some people expect way too much. If you want somewhere quiet, look on a MAP to see where it is! Don't expect five star luxury because this isn't it. What it is is a moderately priced location with decent facilities and close to the action. Well recommended.

Avoid at all costs! We were given a cabin next to the busiest street in town(#15). When we started moving in-we could already hear the loud, consistenr street noise. When we asked for a quieter location-the office man said $30 more because(he said) we had booked thru a bookingwebsite. Stuck, we entered again to find dirty carpet, broken blinds, peeling paint and caulk in the bath and trash that had been frozen in the entry to the cabin. The next morning we discovered the coffeemaker was broken-so I had to dress and go to Starbucks. A call and visit to the office-noone there!!

Bad, bad, bad I normally don't do reviews but future travellers please be fore warned. Problems 1. Bed sheets were stained n appeared used. 2. Towels were damped ? 3, window blinds not working. 4. Walls in bathroom had holes. Tried calling the front desk about 6.15 and no one answered the call. TV had only one channel working. Only thing is that they had working Wi-Fi. I don't understand how some reviews gave the 4 stars. I wanted to give it a one star but somehow the web page is stuck at two stars.
