Great budget hotel Great budget place in Bishop. Comfy bed. Basic continental breakfast included. No elevator. Make sure you do not stay next to the ice machine, it’s loud. When I mentioned it at checkout they refunded us $10 and apologized. We would stay here again, it’s right on Main st downtown.

Good Location We stayed for one night on a road trip to the Russian River Valley. It's a Good Location to walk to places for food and such. Bishop, Ca is not that big. The room was large, but the bathroom was super small.. see picture. They definitely were not thinking when they made the bathroom spaces. The shower is a bit strange, but for one night it was fine. Check-in was fast. have a video of the entire room but it won't take it to upload.

Worst Breakfast ever Never experienced such bad breakfast. Cold boiled eggs in water for B/fast, never seen such thing isn’t where. cheap coffee, taste disgusting. No other choice for breakfast. Poor value for money . Will never stay in the Hotel.

Never again The room was small and the bathroom was the smallest we'd ever seen in a hotel room. The people upstairs were clomping around all hours of the night, both nights we were there. The lights from the parking lot shone in through the windows because the curtains would not cover the entire window. The hot water does not work well, our showers were barely warm. Breakfast was included, but there was just some oatmeal packets and toast and hard boiled eggs. We tried to use some of the wrapped plastic cups they offered by the ice bucket and they cracked! How long have they been there? Yikes. And the hotel sign was not lit so we almost passed the entrance at night. There are so many other places to stay in Bishop, stay away from Cielo.

Assumed better hotel but not so On the plus side: Comfortable bed, clean room, quiet. In-room refrigerator a bit larger then usual hotel refrigerator boxes. On the negative side: Lights are all low candlepower, very dim room. DirectTV list of channels in ultra-small font, light colored directory - combined with dim lighting, difficult to read for older eyes. 'Breakfast' provided but only rolls, instant cereal, etc., nothing like fresh eggs or anything substantial - for a room rate north of $100/night this is more on par with a Super 8. Another bad point: No guest laundry. On the really bad negative side: Toilet seemed to be an afterthought in bathroom, placed so one could not stand in front of sink. This is inexcusable. See photo. A friend covered this hotel room for me so did not leave - did not want to insult my buddy; and spent 3 nights in this hotel. I showed him the bathroom and he too could not believe the lame layout. Apparently Choice Hotel properties has very low standards for bathroom requirements. Just checked the Cielo web site for their current rates, around $180/night. Certainly not worth it if there are other hotels in the area that have a vacancy that have a bathroom not so miss-designed.
