Travelodge by Wyndham Bishop

Mis-steps and not safe Arrived, dropped our luggage in the room. We went to look around the town and eat dinner. Came back to the room and walked to the tiled floor near bathroom, I slipped and caught myself before I fell. There were water marks from my shoes, I thought I tracked it in from outside. Then my wife took off her shoes and noticed the carpet was wet. We covered the carpets with towels so we would not get our feet wet or possible chemicals on them. We decided it was too late to get a different room and we were tired. I went to the front desk to get more towels and told them about the carpet. She said they had shampooed them earlier and it must not have dried. Asked why were put in the room, said did not know it was wet. On my way back to room I noticed a fire extinguisher holder that had a sign saying fire extinguisher was missing one. Now we feel a little unsafe if that wasn’t important to the property. So we feel that although we could have asked for another room we should not have had to. I’m all for understanding mistakes and oversights at times but these were both safety issues for the Public. Not a real good time. The funny thing is, there were little cards at the front desk encouraging guest to give a review to TripAdvisor.

the staff is amazing and the room was clean. we stayed her ein June of 2024. There are alot of hotels to stay at in Bishop but I am glad we stayed here....great price, great service and clean rooms

Disgusting carpet! Omg, our room smelled like marijuana and urine when we entered. The scent was coming from the old carpet. I went to a local store and purchased a $40 bottle of scent spray which helped to mask much of the stench but both of us ended up with headaches the next morning from the marijuana smell. There were also green stink bugs flying all over the room which we had to swat out. My friend said she would never stay at a Travelodge again because of this experience. Travelodge needs to change their old carpet out for hard flooring. I used a Clorox wipe to test the cleanliness of the carpet. One swipe and it was dark brown and filthy!! Will add photos of this evidence later. The guy who was singing songs such as "Hey Jude" outside the room made our day and increased the motel rating from 0 to 2 stars. Such talent and an amazing voice, especially with hitting those high notes!!

Bad experience Requested an early check in and had to wait 3 hours after arrival, carpet was dirty, room was not cleaned well, noisey at night, breakfast was terrible and had to wait to check out, no one was at the desk. I will not be going back to this hotel, very bad experience

Nice trip Room was clean and kept clean, Front desk weas very accommodating and got me into a bottom floor room as requested
