Best vacation ever I would have rated this 7 out of 5 stars if we could. For a twice-in-lifetime vacation to a luxury family hotel, you can’t beat the Comfort Inn. We’re saving up to come back in 2027 when our we get our waterbed paid off. We really loved the tour of the town the manager gave us pointing out all of the places where Stetson Bennett made his mark, where he had his first kiss, where his 11th grade English teacher Becky gave him an old fashioned, the field where he threw his first touchdown pass. It was fantastic!

Wow! The only downside to this hotel is that there is not a Beef O'Brady's close by. That would have been the cherry on top of an excellent stay. The hotel was recommended to me by a gentleman with an IQ of 104 (4 points above the highest possible score). When someone that smart speaks, you listen!

The Absolute Worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed at Choice Hotels should be ashamed We were in town Saturday night for a wedding we were there maybe 12 hours with our 4 year old and infant son. We came got ready left for the wedding came back went to bed and left the next morning. They are claiming that we punched the tv in our room and that it’s broken. That is absolutely ridiculous and they are straight up lying. The GM Rose Taylor is no help and is now refusing to speak with me or my family and is refusing to submit evidence of this tv that was smashed and won’t tell me who found it and who filed the report. My parents were staying right next door and helped me with the luggage when we checked out my mom was the last person to see the room as I walked out with our infant and she shut the door behind us and the room was in perfect condition. They are scamming people and pocketing the money. I have filed a charge back with my bank and when I’m done I will have all my money back including the hotel stay. I will leave a review on every platform everyday until my money is returned to me.

Fraudulent charges- this location scams people We were in Georgia this past weekend to attend a family wedding. We stayed at the Blackshear location. We had two rooms. My husband and I in one and my daughter and her family in the other. Everything was great upon check in. Today she noticed a $250 charge on her account. When she called the hotel she was told it was for a damaged tv. They told her the tv had been punched and smashed. Let me tell you the timeline of our stay. We were in town less than 24 hours for my niece's wedding at Under the Oaks in Alma, GA. We arrived in town from Florida, changed clothes and left for the wedding. We spent most of the evening at the wedding. Upon getting back to the hotel my daughter got the children to sleep and everyone went to sleep. What else are you supposed to do when the baby goes to sleep but go to sleep yourself. That is why Air BnBs are so great. We would have got one of those if there was anything in the area worth getting. Anyway, the next morning we all got up, packed and headed out to my sister in law's for brunch. She is a doctor in town. We were gone before 10:00am. I was over in their room numerous times that morning to help with the children. The tv was working perfectly, as my grandson was watching cartoons, and there was no damage. When we were ready to leave, her husband took all the luggage and my 4 year old grandson downstairs. I was in the room with my daughter to help her grab the last few items and their 3 month old baby. We turned off the tv. I was the last one out of the room and the tv was still in perfect condition with no damage. Housekeeping was cleaning a few doors down. I am not saying that housekeeping did it but I'm saying the allegations are false. Either someone did it after our departure or the staff there is trying to scam people out of money. When my daughter called and spoke to Rose, the GM, she was rude and told her she was lying about causing the damages. Rose said the tv is in the office. How do we know what room that tv came from? My daughter called back about an hour later to request photos. She was told that Rose was in a meeting and they hung up on her. My daughter called back and told them to have her call her back and provide the evidence of damages. My daughter has already disputed the charges with her bank. Arrival: 3/16/24 Departure: 3/17/24 Hotel: 155 Main Street, Blackshear, GA Room: 219

Nothing special but completely adequate The location is bittersweet, I’m sure, if you’ve never lived in Blackshear. I say this because while the hotel is centrally located in town…so is the train. That being said, there are pros and cons to this hotel. Pros: Clean, good location, updated look, awesome staff, free breakfast, microwave and mini fridge, USB outlets Cons: paper thin walls (I could literally hear the room next to me on a phone call), the WiFi isn’t that great and certainly isn’t conducive for work
