Great all around! This outstanding hotel comes highly recommended. My mother is a regular guest and when I needed a place to stay in Bloomington, she wholeheartedly endorsed it. Our recent stay was necessitated by the storms that hit central Illinois, causing us to lose power, but we were warmly welcomed and impressed by the hotel's cleanliness and comfort. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, the breakfast options were diverse and scrumptious, featuring a waffle station that was a delight. The pool was surprisingly clean and clear, given the weather conditions, and we appreciated the opportunity to take a relaxing evening swim. We will enthusiastically recommend this hotel to our friends and family and look forward to when we get to visit with Grandma on Wednesdays from now on! Keep up the superb hospitality!

***WARNING*** STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE I'm pretty easy to please. I am slow to anger and quick to forgive. That being said, there were numerous things about this hotel that crossed the line for me, and I have to say something. Just one disgusting or frustrating thing after another. Cosmetic things, like the shredded curtain on the window, the dents and dings on the wall, the peeling carpet and paint--I don't care about that stuff. But brown and yellow stains all over the walls, chairs, mattresses, comforters, floor...I CANNOT tolerate. When we went to check into our room, the main light switch didn't work. The room was muggy, and reeked like a laundry basket full of dirty clothes. Hoping to air out the room I flipped the switch to the exhaust fan in the bathroom but of course it didn’t work either. I turn on a lamp to discover there are drips of some kind of brown sludge ALL OVER the floor, and of COURSE my coat fell in it. At first I thought they were cigarette burns or some kind of stain but I took a kleenex and wiped at it and it came right up. It was like a few dozen melted chocolate chips all over the floor. I HOPE it was chocolate. No way in hell am I walking around on this disgusting carpet in my socks. Then I discovered brown and yellow stains on the comforter. There is NO WAY you could miss all this stuff while cleaning the room. I went down to the front desk and asked for a new room. I will say, the staff I dealt with were very polite, apologetic, and helpful, doing what they could to accommodate me. They were about the only positive aspect of my experience I can think of. They got me a new room and it was better, but as we got further into our stay we discovered more things that were foul or frustrating. More brown and yellow stains on the mattress and floor. Yet again, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The plumbing in the rooms sucks. The shower barely drained. First shower I took it was up to my ankles the whole time, second shower I took it was halfway up my calves. And YES I checked that the drain was cleared. The floor/base of the tub was caving in, rather than being flat it was U shaped, so awkward to stand in. The flush on the toilet was incredibly weak. You could say "Why didn't you tell the staff about these problems so they could fix them?" I DID with some of the stuff, but when it comes to stuff like the shower and toilet, what were they going to do? Bring a plumber in to snake the pipes or repair them while I just awkwardly sit there? I didn't want to deal with that hassle and intrusion. And I didn’t want to pack all my stuff up and switch rooms again. At that point I was just so sick of it and I couldn’t wait to check out of the place. The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars was because of the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. The breakfast was decent. Despite all their problems, the bathrooms were relatively clean. And I never saw any bugs. But the negatives far outweighed the positives. If there was anything I learned from my stay it was a harsh reminder that you REALLY need to do a deep dive on the reviews. I was pressed for time and just looking for a halfway affordable room for a couple days and should've dug into the reviews some more. Because it's clear that I am not the only one who has been experiencing these issues. If you asked me if I would ever stay at this hotel again, the answer would be absolutely NO. If you want my advice, stay somewhere else. Because odds are you will not be happy with your stay at this hotel.

Great place and comfortable beds A+ rating. Shawna made our experience so good. She's a very hard worker she cleaned and helped everybody. And Jessica was so good with the food prep and sanitation. All the staff was courteous. The rooms returned and will be back

Hotel needs cleaning and updates The staff was very friendly. However, this property needs updates and cleaning. The shower had no water pressure, our desk chair was broken, the air conditionally barely worked, there was only 1 roll of TP. Surfaces were dusty and the carpet was stained.

What a dump! Don’t believe all the good reviews! This comfort inn is beyond disgusting. I asked if I could change rooms and the front desk woman said that the room I was was one of the nicer ones! It’s smelled, had dirty stains all over carpet and it DEFINITELY had not been cleaned well. Unfortunately I prepaid for three nights here and it’s not cancellable. I’m going to try and cancel tomorrow but I doubt they will let me. Literally the only thing nice about this dump is the front desk lady was pleasant.
