The Place to Stay in Minneapolis My husband and I like to fly out of Minneapolis and spend at least two weekends there per year just for getaway date weekends. Our goal over the last six years has been to find a hotel that we like enough to make "our" hotel for these trips, and we have finally found that with the Sheraton. From the moment you walk into this hotel, you will feel fancy. The decor inside is so nice!! The front desk people were very friendly, and the check in policy was quick and efficient. The room itself was very clean. This was the first hotel we stayed in since the pandemic hit, and it felt extremely safe. The curtains in the room were black out shades which was a nice bonus. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was super nice with a fancy shower head. There were only a couple of cons to this hotel, and none of them were serious enough to cause an issue. The pillows were terrible, but this wasn't a big deal. We will just bring our own next time. The only other con was the interstate noise. The hotel is pretty close to the interstate so the traffic was audible from the room. This was not super bad though. My husband didn't hear it at all, and I only did because I'm a light sleeper. Once I downloaded a sound machine app on my phone I was able to cancel it out. Overall, despite the two cons listed, we loved this hotel and have already booked it again for our weekend in the cities in July!

Fantastic hotel and stay Probably the best pet friendly experience we've had in a hotel. This is a classy place with great rooms and reasonable prices. The staff was awesome with the dog and even gifted a poo bag & dispenser. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Great place to stay! Stayed at the Sheraton in Bloomington recently and had a very nice stay. Comfy beds and a lot of space to move around. The restaurant Lela is absolutely wonderful, will definitely be back. Our room overlooked the lobby which was pretty cool. The hotel is convenient to a lot of different things in the area.

Stingy! First, the hotel took advantage of the COVID-19 crisis to take away any complimentary items or services. For instance, when I checked-in, I was told that they had removed all coffeemakers from the rooms, but that I could request one. I requested one. It was delivered to the room with two packets of coffee. The next day, I asked for two more packets of coffee. I was told that it would be delivered to my room. ( I was not to be in my room when they delivered.) It never came. I had also asked that my trash be removed, as it contained fruit peelings. That didn't happen either--until it was pointed out to a receptionist on the night shift. At the reception desk, they had two carafes of coffee. One would think that, given the inconvenience of no coffeemakers in the rooms, that the coffee would be complimentary. No, there was a charge. Although the room rate did not include breakfast, one could normally purchase it during the breakfast period in the restaurant. That wasn't possible, because it was closed. How did the hotel make up for that? Well, in a foggy case at the reception desk, they were offering some big bun sandwich wrapped in Saran Wrap for $7. They couldn't provide as much as a complimentary muffin or banana? Also, there was no microwave in the room. I don't know if they had removed those as well. In case anyone reading this hasn't stayed in a hotel since the pandemic, I can assure you that what the Sheraton was the only hotel that I encountered in a week of traveling that was taking such austere measures--with poor service as well. Prior to my arrival in Minneapolis, I stayed at a Country Inn & Suites in Des Moines. Coffeemakers and microwaves were in the rooms. Although they didn't open their breakfast room, they made up bags with breakfast items, lining them on the reception counter during the breakfast period. Well, you might say, that was Iowa. However, I stayed at a Homewood Suites in Rochester, MN (home of the Mayo Clinic) before my arrival at the Sheraton. Homewood didn't remove anything from the full kitchen room that I was in. At breakfast, they did not offer any hot items in the breakfast room, but one could go in the room and pick up cold items, e.g., cereal, fruit, muffins, etc. My last hotel stay was at an Embassy Suites in Overland Park, KS. They couldn't do enough for the guests, even offering hot items on their buffet--and coffeemakers in their rooms. Last, I had problems with the TV at the Sheraton, seeing messages on the screen, i.e., no signal, scrambled signal, etc. The first call to the reception desk was that there were no reported outages. Making a second call the next day, I was told that it was a known problem, to try turning it off and on until I got a connection.

Comfy & Convenient Room was huge. Our bathroom was even huge. Our room overlooked the lobby which was cool. Super quiet and a very short drive from the Mall of America. It was super convenient, and I would definitely consider staying here again.
