Holiday Farm fire has burned it up Love this place had many retreats here. But as of sept 7th, main lodge is burned down and only stone fireplace is left of historic ranger cabin. Hope they rebuild. Prayers go out to you and town. So sorry.

Great clean accomodations, real nice managers Nice place to stay and fair priced. Nothing fancy, a bit dated, but a nice woodsy feel and well run. Chris shuttled us up the river for a bike ride and was fun be with. This was a second visit and we'll be back.

Lovely Lodge in a Peaceful Setting I stayed for 3 nights in a lodge room at this resort and I highly recommend this place. The room was cute and rustic with moose pictures, pretty quilt on a comfy bed with comfy pillows, small micro and fridge, great TV and WI-FI worked well, most importantly it was clean. There is not always somebody at the front desk but there is a small board with a name and # for you to call, I called twice and somebody answered immediately. They do not provide hairdryers but I called the # and Tina, housekeeper on site, brought me a hairdryer right away, Chris checked me in and he was quite helpful by providing me with a map and he gave me some hiking tips to great waterfalls. It is quiet and peaceful area, they do not clean your room daily which is fine with me, if you need something, just go to the office and call the # and somebody will bring you more towels, coffee, etc. I would suggest you bring some food, snacks, water, etc. as there isn't a big grocery store or restaurant nearby. There are a few places to eat further east up the road in McKenzie Bridge or west there is good little cafe in Vida. Just down the road from this resort is a little general store / liquor store to get a few items you may need. I definitely will stay here on my next trip to this beautiful area and I am recommending this place to my family and friends. It's not fancy, it's not a hotel, but it's quiet, clean, and quaint!

All the basics and with its own charm We stayed one night on our way from Central OR to the coast after driving hwy 242 and then backtracking to Clear Lake. This facility is a former USFS headquarters, so it's rustic and isolated and IMO has its own charm. (If you prefer cookie-cutter chain motels or high-end boutique B&B's, this is not the place for you.) If you are open to a bit of adventure and like quiet, laid-back, no frills lodging, you'll do well. We reserved "deluxe lodge room 4" and had a comfy bed, nice bathroom with shower, coffee maker (Keurig), tv and Wifi. The facility is actually on the north side of the highway. Turn north at the "town" of Blue, cross the bridge, and there you are!

Visit to local hot springs Our two-day stay at McKenzie River Mountain Resort was lovely. When we altered our reservation so we could have a stopover at Crater Lake, Chris graciously refunded our money for that night. Tina checked us in and gave us a good recommendation for a place to stop and have dinner along the way. She was very helpful. We had a wonderful visit to beautiful Cougar (Terwilliger) Hot Springs. I understand the hot springs is now closed because of fire. :-( I hope it survives.
