Beach Club at The Boca Raton

Not as expected I actually went a year ago, but there was no space for that. It was close to Memorial Day not sure of the dates. We stayed 5 nights, 6 days. I went with my 12 year old granddaughter and myself. Not used to traveling alone. My daughter died my granddaughters mother, I wanted to take her away close to her death to take her mind off of it.and 8 months later my Husband died, so it was a new adventure for us to go alone. We have been going to the Boca Resort for about 20 years and enjoying every minute of it. The breakfast buffet was superb with people who worked there for 20 years and were such familiar faces. There are people who won’t go back because they took the most amazing breakfast buffet away. When we left they told us we had butler service. What a joke. I have been to hotels with butler service and as soon as you go to your room the butler introduces themself to you and asks if there is anything they can do. This hotel holds themselves out as such a fancy hotel, but we had room service for eggs in the morning because we were going to the beach and they were left in our room for 10 hours even after our room was made up. I called and called and they refused to take eggs away that were left there for 10 hours, ( real fancy and classy hotel). I called room service when we got back from dinner, we ate at every restaurant in the resort, and they said to put the dishes outside of our room. Are we at a Best western? I told them I would put these dishes in the elevator if they didn’t get them out of the room. They were there in 5 minutes. I don’t know how this hotel holds itself out to be such a fancy hotel. I’ve been to Ritz Carlton’s , St. Regis, Vanderbilts, with real butler service. I don’t know who the person is who thought they could do a better job than the previous owners, but you are so wrong. Giving free water bottles that are confiscated at the gate at the airport isn’t going to do it. Who are you? I would like to have a chat with you and see what you are trying to accomplish at your hotel because it is really lacking. We went to Principessa for dinner and my granddaughter really liked her meal, I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and it was $30.00. SERIOUSLY. If you’re going to hold yourself out as a fancy hotel then accomplish that. The staff was so untrained it was pathetic. First lesson is a well trained staff, if you can’t train them to not be jealous of guests then you have failed.

Service not commensurate with pricepoint Pros: The resort is beautiful and the rooms are nicely appointed and reasonably priced at Cloister. Some of the staff are very helpful , but since 20% gratuity is already added the wait staff lacks the attention to detail. Sadelles offers a nice breakfast experience , Bartender Izzy in palm courts is fantastic, please take NOTE - this kid has the potential for upper management one day , he’s the total package with his attention to detail. Palm courts is beautiful ! Sushi place , is excellent Cons: First day we went to beach we had hard time finding someone to help us with chairs , towels , etc. I was seated next to a huge bucket of beer bottles they neglected to take for over an hour until I had to ask. Flamingos steak was extremely underwhelming . We asked for no salt or added rub, then admittedly forgot we ate it anyway because we were hungry. Mediocre piece of overpriced meat, they did try to rectify it by compensating us for a dessert. We don’t eat dessert, but nice gesture - I feel they could have done more and probably should have taken it off bill. Both service experiences at harbor side were terrible , we were overlooked both times we went there , the second time we walked out and went for sushi. Pool service very weak , they forgot my wife’s food , we cancelled the order. Young girl in gym on treadmill having loud conversation on speaker phone for whole gym to hear , after 5 minutes I had to ask employee to speak with her - absolute insane behavior - service all around needs work at this price point.”We” are your clientele for the next 30-40 years , you have to do better. I’ll spend more to go to the Breakers, service is impeccable ALWAYS

Very poor It Took 2 hours to get our food. Its Ridiculously priced for mediocre food. The lobster was chewy and not good at all. There was No water in the toilets. Would not recommend or eat here again. Beach is beautiful. Bring a packed lunch or make your own bbq.

Dreamy vacation Just came back from a week stay with my husband and 10 month old. We had an absolute BLAST- the service, grounds, and location are sensational. We will be coming back for every Easter, and even joked about our baby getting married here :) The one piece of feedback we'd give is that the fitness center is far too small for the amount of guests. It was impossible to get a machine without a 15 minute wait. Wish there was a more state of the art fitness center available. Special shout out to Darryl at Sadelles and Darcy at the Tower pool. Impeccable service, and made us feel very well taken care of! Can't wait for next year

Excellent stay! Great spot for a family vacation! We loved our stay at the Boca Raton and will be coming back. Our young kids had a great time and the entire resort was very welcoming to families. The splash pad had warmer water which was perfect for the smaller kids and generally we were all entertained, fed and happy. The service is outstanding. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.
