Staff made the difference I'm not normally a Holiday Inn person, but this visit was a pleasant surprise. Not because of the rooms. They're what you expect from a business-friendly hotel in this price range. Not because of the amenities. (the breakfast was good, but I didn't use anything else). Not because of the price. Good, but the company paid. The staff made the difference. Everybody I interacted with went significantly above and beyond to make this a great stay. Housekeeping, front desk, breakfast staff were all so friendly, accommodating, and caring. Keep it up HI.

Good staff but bad bathroom door They always had staff at the front desk which is good but my bathroom door was missing a lock. I wish they provided breakfast like holiday Inn expresses do but it is what it is. The location is nice and the place was pretty clean. There is also enough parking spaces.

Bed Bug Experience My experience with this hotel was horrible. Upon entering the room I noticed that the room was very date. Nothing like what you see online. It was time to take a shower and the towels were dirty, the shower area wasn’t cleaned properly and the room looked ran down. Now it was time to go to sleep and my daughter felt something on her leg. She pulled back the cover and saw that it was a bed bug crawling on her. I immediately reported this to the front desk. The response that I got from them was as if this was pretty normal for them. I then checked out of the hotel at midnight due to these circumstances and it took 2 hours for me to find a hotel for me and my children to sleep in. I called the next day and requested to speak with management and was declined. I then asked for corporate number and was told no. I asked why and was told because they can’t provide me with that number. This was one of the worse experiences that my children and I had to endure.

Sufficient hotel. Not great, not bad The word to describe this Holiday Inn is “sufficient”. The room was an average size with a king bed, desk and chair, occasional chair with ottoman, cabinet with fridge, microwave, dresser/cabinet with tv on top, two night stands. There was also a single cup coffee maker with 2 regular and 2 decaf K cups and two English Breakfast tea bags. No decaf or herbal tea bags. Three packets of sugar/creamer/stir stick/small napkin. No safe. There was one suit case rack so we put the second case on the ottoman. Carpet felt icky. The bathroom was average size with pump bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were enough tissues and toilet paper. We had 2 wash clothes, hand towels and bath towels: just enough for two people, except they were scratchy and on the thin side. Breakfast was not included, which surprised me, as the first night we used points for our room, and paid $140+ for the second night. Lobby and halls were clean and smelled fresh rather than musty or like cleaners/chemicals. The landscaping was mostly kept up. No trash or weeds in view. We chose to stay at this location rather than the Holiday Inn at Romeoville which was closer to our destination, because Bolingbrook location took our points, unlike the Romeoville location.

Worn out, needs renovation Hotel rooms are tired. They are worn out. It is time for owners to renovate. When furniture and carpets are worn and there is rust, it does not feel clean no matter how much you wipe down. We asked for quiet side not in front of highway. Bar staff was great. Breakfast is made to order and kids eat free. Free parking. Large indoor pool, sauna, hot tub. This we enjoyed.
