Great vibe, adequate facility In 2014, the old Fenway Howard Johnson’s was reopened as The Verb, a rock and roll themed hotel. The design is beautiful, full of rock memorabilia and clever references. Underneath, the building is well-refurbished but still an old motel at heart. The breakfast was adequate; mediocre pastries and packaged cereal. A really fun experience and the staff was lovely, but the idea outstrips the execution

Urban-cool Vibe, with convenient location and friendly staff Excellent hotel. Convenient location, clean rooms, friendly staff. We were touring colleges with our 16 and 13 year old and the location was perfect. We caught a Red Sox game and were able to walk to the stadium due to the proximity. Our housekeeper Darling kept our room stocked and tidy (which is a feat with 2 teen boys). The breakfast staff were incredibly friendly and there were plentiful options for breakfast. The front desk staff were also friendly and accommodating. We definitely would stay here again when visiting. The vibe at The Verb is definitely urban-cool and perfect for visitors of any age.

Friends first to Fenway was made perfect by The Verb! Incredibly awesome place and people. From Carly at the front desk who ran my wallet to me when I left it on the front desk saving my bacon, to Jake at the front desk who was great and friendly to talk with and stored some things in their office when I was running late for a tour of Fenway. Wendy at the bar, Dimitrius in the parking lot and everyone else that worked there whose names I didn’t get were amazing. They all made me feel so comfortable. The Hotel itself is especially awesome for music lovers and its location in relation to Fenway can’t be beat. I will never stay anywhere else in Boston and now have a great reason to go there to catch a game. Thanks to all for a great trip.

Wonderful! The staff were so kind! The staff, the location, the ambience of hearing Sweet Caroline sung from Fenway while sitting in a heated pool. It was so fun.
