Three staff members is what I will remember I have no issues with Hotel as it is pleasant and as expected for the price. Spa was not used because there was staf sickness and the spa staff sat in the staff room most of the day... Anyway my review is not about the hotel or spa but is about two staff in particular. Chantelle - upon arriving and checking in I had some questions and not only did she answer them excellently but she also did it in a way that felt personal to me. Like, I mattered. Like my experience and mindset, mattered. I have been to many hotels and stayed all over the world but she made me feel important to her in the sense of her responsibilities in her jobrole to make sure I was looked after and felt welcomed. She went above and beyond. Thank you. Tye - working on his own during the night shift he was able to help me with some trivial issues and actually was a pleasure to speak to. Very respectful and clearly experienced in hospitality. Credit where credit is due. people are so quick to complain but not to reward with praise. I know it is only text on a screen but Tye made me feel like a human that was seen and heard. Not just another guest of the hotel. Thank you for the conversation and information despite it being very late Tye. To the owners of the hotel, staff like these two people are a credit to your venue. There was another lady that was very kind. Her name was Priscilla and is a new member to the catering team if I am correct. Very lovely & passionate about making sure things are the best!

Terrible - AVOID! No phone reception on my floor, and no functioning WiFi. The nespresso machine included three decaf pods, and reception didn’t respond after repeated requests for regular caffeinated pods. Your WhatsApp contact method in lieu of phones in rooms was abysmal and didn’t allow me to reach reception. I stay in hotels across the UK 2-3 times per week, as do my stage crew, and we will be boycotting Macdonald on the basis of this experience. Premium price with minimum effort and customer experience. A real let down.

Sip and Paint Event I recently attended a sip-and-paint event with a friend, and it was such a fun and therapeutic evening. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and really well organised. Charley was especially helpful when I booked the event, which made the whole experience even smoother. It was definitely worth the money, with a complimentary welcome drink, wine, tea, and coffee available throughout.

Very Disappointing Dated, Shabby Hotel, No lifts, Awful Bar Service, Never 4 Star but Great Cruise Parking Very dated hotel, no lifts (nightmare if you have poor mobility and/or luggage). Not enough plugs in the bedrooms and none beside the bedside lockers. The standard rooms have showers over the bath so I had to spend an extra £51 to get a room with a separate shower (which had a huge step up and needed a deep clean). The carpet was filthy, cracked tiles and peeling paint in the bathroom, the worse service I have ever had in the bar, took half an hour and three attempts to order food even though the place was empty. It is a two star at best. The only plus point about this hotel is that I can park my car there for the duration of my cruise, they arrange a taxi to and from the cruise port in Southampton, which saved me a lot more planning. But other than that, I would never stay there again.
