Great for overnight stay prior to cruising from Southampton. Great value! We stayed here overnight before our cruise from Southampton the next day. The hotel is very set up for anyone looking to do the same. We had an overnight stay, breakfast, parking for two weeks and port transfers. All really great value. I would highly recommend! The hotel is clean, tidy and staff are very helpful. Can't comment on other facilities such as spa, gym, pool etc because unfortunately we didn't get chance to use them during our stay (due to time).

Not 4 star 2 star at best Booked this hotel as a treat for my fiancee for our anniversary and have to say very disappointed rooms are clean but no fridge or bathrobe and slippers for spa which apparently comes as complimentary standard. Service in bars slow and nobody cleared any tables our whole visit. Drinks very expensive two large wines 36.50!!!! Seats are tired and worn this is definitely not a four star and I've never in my life been to a spa that does not have a jacuzzi!! Should be adults only in pool from 7pm some children where still in at 7.15 nobody enforcing rules and don't even get me started on the state of the female changing room dirty and towels everywhere!! Never again please don't book here. 4 star prices not four star service everything was dated. Sports bar not open either even though it was high season. Pub down the road is lovely though and go to garden centre down the road for your breakfast as only 10 pounds here they wanted 24 pounds each!! No way rip off. We live near by and had hoped for a lovely relaxing break this is not what we got I'm afraid!!

Good hotel but not 4 star Rooms ok clean few bits on on carpet hoover didnt get. Room has good air-conditioning. Good wardrobe space. Breakfast is good. Lots of choice Spa ok no hot tub. Pool area clean not loads of chairs. Shallow pool is warm. Steam room good and sauna good. Didn't eat in the restaurant. Sport bar shut 21.30 on Friday. The reception staff are lovely. Especially Robert he was so lovely and professional. But all staff polite and friendly from receptionist to cleaners. Changing rooms need abit of TLC but its school holidays so has a few kids here. We would stay here again. The hotel is good but not 4 star. Does need abit of tlc in places

could of been so much more on arrival all seemed good reception staff polite went to our room fond it be ok at first but then found it to very very dusty day 1 went down stairs for breakfast this is not what i expected from a 4 star hotel cold bacon /sausages eggs were swimming in oil very unpleasant the grilled tomatoes were just cut in half no signs of grilling so we cancelled the next 3 days breakfast. being a chef of 35 years maybe staff could temperature check now and then to make sure the food was hot?. the hotel could do with modernising [very tired] day 3we were going to go for a swim only to find out a sign saying pool is closed till further notice? no one explained as to why?so with that we cut our stay short would love to be invited back if and when these issues have been resolved which is a shame as i could /has been a spectacular hotel

Reception saved the review Hotel itself is good. It’s tired in places but the rooms are nice and it’s clean Reception are great (Debbie went above and beyond). restaurant MASSIVE let down Had a drink in the sport bar £16 for a 175 ml New Zealand Sauvignon (over £55 for bottle) is just day light robbery & don’t get me started on their champagne by the glass price !! Booked table for 6. House wine was like dishwater and £27 a bottle. Booked DBB BUT you get an allowance of £25. You can’t get a 2 course meal for £25. Either up the allowance (& increase the advance booking cost or do a table de hôte menu) otherwise it’s just a Rip off Restaurant staff are clueless. We asked the manager what prawns came in the prawn cocktail. Errr I’ll go ask. No you should know if it’s cheap frozen prawns (it was) or shell on prawns Outs the starters we had were ok not great. Pate ok (little taste) chicken wings. Great portion. Humous weird presentation. Terrine. No bread??? Mains was where it let down. Blade of beef is traditionally a slow cooked piece of meat. Why serve it with a weird tomato ketchup infused gravy was beyond all of us. The blade was good but a TIny portion. Chicken supreme very nice but sane gravy Children’s roast chicken advertised with mash & gravy came with colcanon and tomato gravy. Restaurant staff were useless and clueless. Staff wise the only saving grace were the reception (night & Check in) staff Management seriously Need to look at what they are trying to provide as premier inn do Better
