Really good but plan ahead! Reserved a family package kinda last minute for son, girlfriend, two girls AND me (grandma). Package came with coupons for two adults and up to four kids. So i had to pay for separate toom which was two thirds the cost of the pkg with no coupons for anything. However check in was exceptionally warm and friendly, shout out to Jose, who got me headed in the righ direction. Rooms were country themed but clean and comfortable. We got two pizzas, show tickets for everyone to two shows and some mini golf, bumper car and arcade tickets, however we only got to use one set of show tickets because we were short on time and most of the shows are at the same time, ate the pizza at an odd hurried time, the bumper cars werent opened our second day so we disnt get to use tickets we paid for so as i said with better planning we could have maximized this package better. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Will definitely viait again AND use a package. I believe it was worth it and overall we had a great time.

Please be 48 inches or taller I would recommend not going unless all of your children are 48 inches or taller. We mainly were interested in the water park and my 47 inch tall daughter who can swim better than me was restricted to doing just a few things and my 37 inch daughter was only allowed to do one slide. They also had rules like your child has to be within arms reach. Each area had different rules and my sensitive child was crying because she accidentally broke the rules. We went with 3 children and the youngest was 6 weeks old so only one parent was available to be within arms reach of 2 children. The water park area didn’t have just a plain swimming pool and one of my girls wanted to practice swimming and that was not allowed in any of the areas. The lazy river had one in step and one out step but my kids aren’t old enough to read their signs. I did read it to them but they forgot. In addition being middle of the week in October there were maybe 40 people total in the facility and one family (mine) on the lazy river so making a child cry for using the wrong step seems excessive.

Disrespectful staff Absolutely disgusted with our stay at Grand country this trip! We have been coming for 15 plus years we are season pass holders and appalled how awful the staff actually has became over the last couple years! We're a party of 9 traveling with 5 Children they're rude, disrespectful and over all give no cares! We called the front desk about people smoking weed on the balconies right outside our rooms she informed us it's legal in Missouri (which I knew we're from Missouri) and their policy stated that you could smoke just not around the building so I guess balconies are not considered the building __‍♀️ then in the water park one of our toddlers came in the wave pool with our 15 year old and the lifeguard had a fit we corrected our kids as she was walking back to our table where 2 adults was sitting another toddler ran to the EDGE of the wave pool I yelled at him to not come in the pool that his siblings had just got in trouble for it! The life guard then blocked my daughter from exiting the pool then said life guard stated mouthing to all the other lifeguards so I walked over there to ask her if their was a issue if I could help her with yes I was big mad at this point that my daughter was being treated in such a way! So we all removed ourselves from the wave pool beside one of our children he was doing his thing minding his business I was standing back keeping a eye on him and she then told me I couldn't get in her pool (I didn't want in HER pool) I was watching my child so I walked over and told the manger what was said and she said she'd talk to her and she did but the disrespect was outrageous!!!!!!!! We've LOVED grand country and visiting MULTIPLE times a year I guess we'll have to try a different water park next time _

Young Family Vacation Win Smooth check-in on Thursday night and the room was very clean. Absolutely no complaints there! We paid extra to stay closer to the waterpark which was nice with smaller kids meaning less walking. There are stairs and an elevator at least in the hotel rooms right off the main road. I never really heard the car noises from outside except for occasional sirens. The a/c ran well and kept the room at a good temp for us. The water park opens at 10, but there’s a little indoor pool with a hot tub that’s open sooner or the out door pools that are open 24/7. We were always out early to swim in those and then got into the water park right away which was nice as we got to have fun in the slides, wave pool and tree house without all the people right away. Some of the water was cool but honestly it wasn’t bad and I strongly dislike being cold and swimming. The life guards are definitely watching so follow the rules. We made our own food to save on money. They do provide smaller towels at the park but I’d bring towels especially if you check out the outdoor pools. There is complimentary code and ice tea at the grand country buffet and concession but we didn’t take advantage of that this time. The water park and pools were clean as were the bathrooms. They had nice bathrooms and with showers and changing area as well. We really enjoyed our little family vacation here. It’s simple, clean hotel with waterpark. Would stay again!
