Not good enough. We try and have a few days away in a European city with the same friends every year, this year our stay was here. Room was very basic, back of the hotel overlooking the back gardens of the houses in the street behind. There was scaffolding up. Room was tiny, battleship grey, miniscule bathroom (bathtub with a shower curtain!), not really much storage. Air conditioning didn't really do much. We had several issues with not being able to close the room door. One of the lifts was out of action and the other was frequently out of action. Breakfast (on the one day we used it) was ok, but at 22€ was a bit of a rip off. Won't be back.

Poor security & lazy customer service There’s an issue with the electronic door locking system in the rooms. When I returned to my room in the evening the door was unlocked. I could not get it to lock after I went in. The alarm kept going off randomly. The guy on reception was extremely casual and unconcerned that the door was faulty. I insisted he move me to a room with a lock that worked, a woman on her own. He went back to reception, leaving me in the corridor waiting for him to come back with a card for a room across the hall. After more than 15 mins when he still hadn’t come back I went down to reception where he was selling merch!! Even though there was another person on reception who could have done that! He had no sense of urgency or recognition of the importance that guests feel safe. It was late at night, he was so disrespectful and rude to not attend to the customer who was waiting, on her own, after requesting the minimum. He said the new room was an upgrade. I said the only upgrade I need is a door that locks! It was not an upgrade & who cares about that when you’re travelling for business. Safety the priority. I will not stay here again on any of my regular trips to Brussels.
