Sleep Inn Bryson City - Cherokee Area

A stay for the train ride. Stayed two nights. Our visit was to ride the great smoky mountain train. Upon our arrival the front desk lady was quite welcoming. The room could have used dehumidifier for sure. Pool area nice.. The breakfast was not the greatest. Worst coffee ever.

You were our knight in shining armor. Your help saved the day (and the nights)! Though we had confirmed reservations, we were turned away from the Microtel by Wyndham in Bryson City. However, my husband found a handicapped room with a shower in this cozy motel. Well, at least we have a room for the next two nights, I bemoaned. I was wrong! As we walked into the clean, pleasant lobby, the staff member offered to help with our bags. Check-in was efficient and the room key presented quickly. The room was very satisfactory with everything we needed. In addition, every staff member we met was friendly. On the way to a very enjoyable breakfast we passed a large laundry room where linens were cleaned thoroughly, it seemed. Yes, the older style air conditioner was a bit noisy, and the bathroom needed a little caulking, but we were more than content and the cost was very reasonable. This Sleep Inn is a welcome stop for weary travelers and I would give them many kudos for friendliness and service. Thank you, Sleep Inn. You restored my faith in hospitality.

Credit card double billed Have stayed here a few times in the past and was traveling through so we decided to stay again. We were checking in just as the night clerk was coming on duty about 11:00pm and this is where it went down hill. We had booked online as we normally do. The night clerk asked me to swipe my card and just as I did so, I received notification from my card company that the charge was approved. The not so nice man advised me that my payment didn't go through and told me to swipe it again. I told him that I knew it did go through and I was not going to swipe my card a second time. Very rudely, he told me that I could go someplace else if I wanted but he couldn't check me in until I ran my card again. After trying to explain that my card had processed the payment, even calling the card company , he refused to check us in or issue a refund on my card. I ended up running the card a second time and guess what? That's right, I was charged again the same amount... Fast forward to the next morning when there was another young lady working and I explained to her what had happened. She was able to reverse one of the charges without any problem. I was able to contact the owner and I expressed to him everything that had happened. He assured me that he would address this with the night shift clerk.

We were very happy with our choice to stay here Sleep Inn is in a great location and is easy to find. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The sheets passed my wife’s comfort test and for the first time in a long time she didn’t find something that the cleaning staff missed. This is a no smoking property which was wonderful. Lastly, the staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked questions about local restaurants and attractions.

Modern & clean Stayed here overnight before riding the train. Had a double bed room on 2nd floor. Room was updated & clean, beds were comfortable. Biggest draw back was that the sink area is open to the bedroom. Very inconvenient when there's more than 1 person staying in the room. Breakfast was good although coffee was weak. Front desk staff courteous & professional. Great location to down town.
