Hyatt Regency Buffalo / Hotel and Conference Center

Underwhelmed and no clean towels The hotel room was outdated and old. I stayed 3 nights and did not ask for my room to be cleaned night one. Day 2 - I returned to my room at 3 pm and the room was not serviced- bed not made and no clean towels. I went downstairs and requested my room to be cleaned. I sat and worked in the lobby and returned to my room by 4 pm. The room was still not serviced. Hyatt is usually my go to brand but I am definitely disappointed and underwhelmed.

Youth team created issues, but Hyatt made them worse I was unlucky enough to share the hotel with a very large youth sports team. Their unruly and disruptive behavior impacted most guests, to say nothing of the impact they had on limited staff of the hotel. Booking them was a mistake, but not the end of the world. I am leaving a one star review because of the things that happened that COULD have been avoided. When arriving aI tried to valet park, but they had one person manning the parking booth as well as parking and running cars. After waiting 10 minutes I parked across the street for $11 instead of paying Hyatt $29. When walking into the lobby, the youth team members were everywhere and seem to be enjoying creating chaos. I waited behind 8-10 of them waiting to ask for individual pillows, blankets, candy from the snack area, etc. When the front desk agent said "I can help you here", that was literally the last word she said to me during the check in process. Was she having a rotten night? Yes. Did I cause it? I did not. No welcome to the hotel, no thank you for your Hyatt loyalty, no acknowledgement that I was in the most expensive room in the hotel, not a word. I walked away with my key cards having not exchanged a single word with her. When I got to my room, I opened up the pullout sofa which would serve as my bed for the night (3 guests - 1 suite with a king bed) to find it was a naked mattress. No worries, I can put sheets on. Except there were none. No worries, I can call down and ask that some be sent up. Except no one answered. So I go back down to the same agent who recognized fairly quickly that the guests in the VIP Suite were in front of her asking for bedding. I got it, visited every single one of the 16 floors (again - thanks kids), and made my bed. Unfortunately, that mattress was the single worst I could ever have imagined (and I did not have high hopes for a pullout couch in the first place) and I put it all back together to sleep on the couch itself. Oh - and fun story - my friends left the phone ringing while I went down for bedding. It was still ringing when I returned to the room more than 10 minutes later. Hyatt taking the youth group business was probably a mistake, but those happen. Not having the correct number of staff to then control the group's behavior (or enough parking employees or front desk or guest services staff) was avoidable and had a significant impact on my experience as well as the experiences of multiple other adult guests I interacted with during my stay.

Need a lot of work Hotel needs serious updating and cleaning. Showers need heavy work: Despite having the hotel "engineer" take a look and telling me the most obvious and insulting way to drain, the shower still backed up no matter what I tried, filling up to the anles as I attempted to shower. Exterior of the building needs a power wash and quite a few of attendees complains of heavy spider nets outside of windows, the gym is disappointing and wall corner protectors were falling off. The guest check in staff and sales manager were great. No negetive energy detected despite feeling tense at times due to processes.

Good location with the best service This is a really nice hotel and with the good location and service! Especially highly recommended for the bar examinee!

Very accommodating. The entire staff was very accommodating. The hotel was clean. The location as well as the proximity in the downtown area was also good. Downtown but quiet as well.
