Update website and remove “Breakfast provided” The Vagabond is a simple stay after a long day of flying. Older but still clean. Had to change a day difference because of a flight change…Upcharge. The website said a breakfast was provided….nope “Covid.” Oh well. Not bad.

Clean & Comfortable I’ve been staying here for about 15 years. It’s clean and comfortable and a good value. It’s one of the few lodgings near the SFO airport that still offers a complimentary airport shuttle. Covid has wreaked havoc on staffing so this property focuses on having clean rooms and no longer offers a free breakfast which is my preference anyway. Recent reviews have been negative for reasons that I can’t fathom. This is the same great place we have always enjoyed visiting. I’m a retired airline captain who knows a good lodging and this is a favorite.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in decades! You have absolutely no control over the temperature in your room! Mine was 80° and the entire hotel gets either heating or air conditioning. God help you if you don’t want to sleep in a sauna. Even with the unit in my room off and the temperature outside in the mid 60s my room was a sweltering 80°. You turn on the air and heat comes out. The only option I was given was to sit with my ground floor window open and a fan on while people outside walking by my lobby adjacent room looked in the window. I may as well have been told to sleep in the parking lot, at least it would have been cooler. Overall the hotel is basic at best. Even without the temperature issue, this would have been a 2 star review, but as I sit here with my window open trying to cool off my overpriced sauna, with people looking In at me as they walk by, I wish I could give negative stars. I think it would be better to sit up in the waiting area at SFO, at least there I wouldn’t be sweating. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!! DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO HELL HOLE NO MATTER HOW CLOSE IT IS TO SFO!!!
