Amazing stay Candace was an amazing host! She let us know of all the things to do in the area! Me and my husband went on our anniversary trip and we stayed in the pink room, in my opinion It was the best room in the house. We stayed for 4 nights and felt right at home. The entire house was beautiful and I loved reading about the history of the house! Also the breakfast was amazing!

Terrible breakfast Bed yes, but saddest excuse for breakfast ever. Received text saying breakfast would be 8 to 9. Went down at 8:15 and there was nobody around. Left on dining table was white bread and raisin bread untoasted, grape jelly, butter and cream cheese, one flavor of cartoned yogurt and fruit that had been out since the night before. Went in search of someone and found a young girl in back of kitchen. I asked if bread could be toasted she pointed to toaster in the back of the kitchen. Asked her if owner was coming to make eggs or something and she said she didn't know. left hungry a couple of hours later and never saw another soul. Not a bed and breakfast, just bed.

Great inn in Burlington NJ I recently had a wonderful one night stay at The Lily Inn. It is a charming bed and breakfast in a historic building. The location couldn’t be better: it is convenient to shops, restaurants, and the Riverfront Promenade. The riverfront area was a nice surprise! The weather was good and I was able to take a pleasant early evening walk there. The Inn is also only a couple of blocks from the NJ Transit Riverline Station, so I did not need to bring my car. I had a good night’s sleep in the peaceful & calming room, and a delicious made-to-order hot breakfast the next morning. I will definitely return!

Lily Inn Nice historic building. Tastefully decorated. Great breakfast (weekends only I think). I stayed in a room that was at the back of the residence. Later found out it was in the process of renovations. It is small and there was at least a 1/2" gap at the bottom of the window. Someone attempted to remedy the issue with plastic. It did not work. The result, a drafty room. No extra blankets in the room. Turning the heat up did not address the problem.

Old Town ambiance with contemporary amenities An excellent place to stay when visiting the area. Old Town ambiance with every comfort and convenience. Loved the interior furnishings, and the back garden for strolling & sitting--including the scent of boxwood (typical of Burlington and the Middle Atlantic region--I've missed it since I moved away!). The immediate neighborhood is architecturally charming and walkable; the nearby waterfront is particularly lovely. The host, Candace, was responsive and welcoming. She had good info about the area. She provided a delicious breakfast, made to order. As I was traveling solo, I appreciated her gentle conversation as I enjoyed my meal. Choose the Lily Inn for your stay if you want an authentic experience of the best that Burlington has to offer.
