Good cheap place, nice pool Given the prices of places near Malibu, this place is a gem. Great pool with a little shade in the middle of the complex. Good clean room, a little noisy during the day as the walls are thin but the other guests are generally quiet. I would definitely recommend this place for a cheap stay.

Rude, dirty, condescending STAY AWAY!! Where to start? Looks can be deceiving… looks nice from the outside but the inside is scary. They don’t change the linens on the beds. Dirty pillow cases, sheets, covers, blood on the sheet, yellow stains, bugs, etc. the front desk could care less. They just give you some sheets and pillowcases and have you change everything yourself!! No pool towels available and when I asked for towels they would only give 2 even though there are 4 of us. They finally gave us pool towels only after we already used the bath towels. After several problems they thought it would be best if we just left. WTH!!!!??? We paid for 3 nights in advance. Asked for a manager, Chris Tong, at first they said he wasn’t here. Then he came out and was rude and condescending. Eventually he calmed down and apologized for the problems we were having. He agreed to refund the last night of our stay as we would be leaving early. Upon returning to the room we found a large bug and several ants and smaller bugs, along with food and a stuffed animal under the beds. After reporting these problems too, Chris agreed to refund the rest of our stay and we left first thing in the morning.

A used-to-be wonderful place in decline Either my husband or I or both of us stay at the Good Nite Inn Calabasas 2-3 times per year, 3-5 nights each visit. For the most part, we really love it here. The staff is great. But we're noticing a steady decline in the condition of the property. If I could have gotten a maintenance man into our room on this recent visit, I easily could have pointed out 6-8 items that needed repair, rewiring or replacement. And I'm not particularly fussy. It makes us sad to see the property in decay. Caveats-- Bring your own toiletries. No biggie. Have an alternate plan for your electronics and curling iron/blow dryer in case the outlets in your room don't work. Have an alternate plan in case you can't get reliable WiFi. Some times of day (mostly evenings), it's not strong enough to support all the guests' devices. Make a plan for having only one room card key, no matter how many people are staying in your room. Sigh. It used to be really wonderful here and to be fair, the weather and mountain view were glorious while we were here. I imagine we'll keep coming back, but I'm not sure how much longer.

Good value - clean room and I felt safe solo I felt that I got value for money. I was in a room at the far end (closest to the freeway) that had no closet so I had to hang my clothes on the handicap bars around the toilet - that was a first! The handicap shower was designed in such a way that let water all over the floor - I then realized why the bottom of the door was so damaged. Parking is a problem too - very tight and few spaces. But the room was clean and I felt safe there as a solo so I would go back if I needed to stay in that area. I'm glad that people in wheelchairs can travel even though some of the accommodations are odd.

Great Price, comfortable short stay we just needed one night in the the LA area, after driving in from vegas, prior to our flight home to Europe. First start with the price, less than a hundred dollars including free parking, right ouside the room. You would pay close to that for parking alone,in areas like hollywood, west hollywood or santa monica. calabasas is a lovely area and close to thousand oaks westlake village etc and much more attractive than the other areas I mentioned. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable but you could tell it had been spruced up in certain places, next time we wpuld go for the bigger newly renovated rooms, which I beleive have 55inch tv. The only negative was the lingering stench of smoke in the room,I really had to try not to think about it,or I would have been literally sick, thats not really the hotels fault if someone smokes the place out. Apart from that it ticks all the boxes and would stay again for 1 or 2 nights. The USA has gotten so expensive,I really dont know how people make ends meet,in places like LA and New York,so enjoy bargains like this as long as they exsist
