Cool place to stay Great place to stay. Our A/C not working at home . Wanted go to some place cool. Ended up at BLUE RIDGE MANOR B & B , great choice. Room was very comfortable. Our host Dave and Darlene were very welcoming . The breakfast was to die for. Fresh eggs cooked perfectly and the best muffing . Great place near Mount Airy and the Parkway.

Certainly wouldn’t call this a “ manor”. Good points: clean comfortable room & bath. Nice hosts. Poor points: Pictures on the website make this look a lot more charming than it is. Exterior is messy, chickens, dogs, roosters everywhere. No landscaping to speak of. Not at all a “manor”, Basic breakfast..frozen waffles, but fresh eggs.

Enjoying the mountains and convenient to town. This place is conveniently located just 12 miles north of Mount Airy, N.C. where you can shop and find a place to eat. Unfortunately my GPS took me the long way so you better check with the owners before you set out to see if your GPS tells you to take the long way also. The view of the mountains is wonderful. We sat outside at night with torches lit for us and enjoyed the crisp air. In the morning, we enjoyed the company of the other guests over a delicious breakfast. The owners are kind and accommodating.

Lovely B&B, a hidden gem. Lovely secluded property. Nicely furnished and spacious room. Good breakfast. We didn't see Delores very much but David is a delightful host. With only three guest rooms, David is able (and willing) to take time speaking with each guest. He is truly a nice, outgoing individual willing to share info about himself and his family history and also listen to your story. Thank you, David, it was so nice to meet you!

Sadly did not live up to website description - disappointing experience. First let me say the couple who own and run this B&B are lovely welcoming caring people. That said the overall experience here was not as advertised, expected and in my experience on the lower end of hospitality for a B&B. To begin with, and they fully admit this, the place is hard to find and not an easy drive off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Its a twisty turny road into the mountains and the sign for the B&B at the foot of their long driveway is faded and hard to see, easily missed. This would be a nasty drive at night. The yard is full of chickens and clutter. Our room was large and clean but the mattress was uncomfortable and hard to sleep on, the bathroom was outside the bedroom door but in our case private and clean and well appointed. The website shows a picture of and talks about a large county breakfast typical of a great B&B. The breakfast we were served consisted of a small modest breakfast sandwich and a small bowl of fruit. We were not notified of any changes in breakfast offered or charged less for this as far as I know, so essentially it is plain false advertising. Also typical of a good B&B is some kind of an evening light dessert such as cookies, cake or chocolates along with coffee and teas. The Blue Ridge Manor had hot beverages but nothing else. So overall this place was a disappointment and modest at best. Unfortunately given our overall experience here, I cannot recommend it as living up to the website description. If you are a fan of B&B's and regular B&B guest I think you will be disappointed too. I'd look elsewhere for your stay in this area.
