Lovely place We needed a place to stay in western CT for one night in order to attend a funeral. The Locust Tree was reasonably priced and included a great breakfast. Our hostess would make anything you wanted, including eggs, pancakes, waffles, or French toast. The room was quiet and comfortable after a lengthy drive.

Pleasant stay in Canaan! We stayed here during our visit to Canaan, and really enjoyed it! The Inn offers comfortable rooms, with a good breakfast! We were able to sit on the porch and enjoy a drink in the evening, and in the morning we enjoyed watching the family of fox play on the grounds. We will definitely stay again, if we are back in the area!

Perfect getaway during from the aftermath from Tropical Storm Isaias After having no power for four days, needed to get away and found this B&B near Lime Rock Park. LOVED staying here - bed was very comfortable, the window A/C blew ice cold and Heidi was a great (social distancing) host. Plus the breakfast before I left was outrageous!

Special occasion This Bed and Breakfast is very nice, quaint and rustic. In a beautiful setting. Owner, Heidi, is very accommodating and helpful. Fresh, hot breakfast is a very touch. I would only make one recommendation. Place a more comfortable chair in each room. As it is, only place to sit is on bed or very uncomfortable straight back chair. Not much of a downside though. We will be back. Thanks

golden wedding trip We were touring New England by car as a Golden Wedding trip from the UK and our accommodation was booked by our travel agent. however, Locust Tree was clean, friendly and close to town. Heidi recommended The Boat House for our evening meal which was a good choice. At breakfast Heidi joined us and we had a lovely conversation about our families as well as about the bears that visit the garden. (We only get birds)Should we manage another trip across the pond we would definitely stay here again
