Great bang for your buck Krystal Cancun was a great experience for us, they were extremely accommodating and helpful during our whole stay. We booked our room less than 24 hours prior to arrival and couldn’t be happier with the location, value and services we received. I highly recommend booking through their own website vs 3rd party services. We initially did a 5 day all-inclusive package which included dinner reservations for every single night at their premium restaurants (this is not the case with other properties as they limit you based on the nights you stay). The second night our A/C went down, front desk was quick to move us to a different (and much bigger) room without any hassle or upcharges. The server staff is extremely attentive and accommodating, specially Fatima N. She went above and beyond to make sure we were hydrated during our Long Beach days. She provided great recommendations for the best times to be at the beach or go to the lunch buffet. She made us feel so comfortable that we extended our stay an additional 3 days. The beachfront access is definitely the envy of many properties in the area. The water is crysal clear, to the point you can see schools of little fishes. It’s next to a pier which prevents it from getting tons of gulfweed (it’s the season for it according to locals). The staff cleans the bits of weed that make it to shore every single morning. One thing to consider, the property is right next to the nightlife zone (Coco Bongo, Señor Frog, etc) so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I will definitely comeback again

Extremely Disappointed, Unsafe and Poorly Maintained Our experience at Krystal Cancun was beyond disappointing. We were moved to three different rooms during our stay due to serious plumbing issues. Each room had brown or even black water coming from the shower, and an overwhelming sewer smell every time we turned on the taps. This kind of neglect is shocking for any hotel, let alone one that markets itself as a beachfront resort. We did not choose the all-inclusive option (thankfully), but we did try some of the food at the hotel — and it was awful. Bland, low-quality, and definitely not worth paying for. The worst part: our room had a broken shower handle that was “fixed” twice — and by “fixed,” I mean glued back together with silicone. The second time it fell off, it hit my 7-year-old’s foot. Totally unacceptable and unsafe. Yes, the location is great and the beach is beautiful, and some staff members were kind and tried to help. But those small positives are completely outweighed by how rundown and poorly managed this hotel is. To make matters worse, the property is undergoing renovations, which we were never told about. The smell of paint was strong throughout the building, and construction noise continued until midnight or later. It felt like staying in the middle of a construction zone — definitely not a relaxing vacation. What should have been a peaceful family getaway ended up being stressful, uncomfortable, and even dangerous at times. I strongly suggest avoiding Krystal Cancun until they make serious improvements. It’s not worth your time, money, or peace of mind.

Hotel Krystal Cancun We booked this vacation thru Monster which sell inexpensive packages that require a time share presentation. We had stayed at the Krystal Grand (next door) 10 years earlier. This hotel is old, dated and the rooms need complete renovation. I suspect everything is original. We had a 5 night/6 day all inclusive package. The location is great as you can walk to many stores, bars, and restaurant. I strongly recommend Cambalache which is an Argentinian steak house. The beach can be nice but during our stay, it was covered with seaweed. The pool is decent but my biggest complaint is there is no food service poolside. There is a small restaurant, Fisheria, where you can go in your bathing suit and get a burger or similar. There are also a couple other restaurants but you need to change into dry clothes. The service is decent but most of the food offered is bland. We ate at Hacienda El Mortero on two occasions and the food was good. Juan was our server and we requested him on our second visit. We dined at Las Velas for breakfast and again for dinner. They offer Asian cuisine which was decent. We never visited the Restaurante Mediterraneo which appears to be fairly upscale. Aquamarina Cafe is the popular breakfast buffet but they also have a breakfast buffet at Las Velas. The only meat offered for my omelet was ham but Las Vilas did have bacon and chorizo. The drinks are included but the only beer offered is Dos Equis draft. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget and aren't concerned about outdated rooms and bland food. Miguel in the lobby bar was great but Fernando was a total jerk.
