Decent hotel Nice hotel. Our room was a little worn and needs some TLC. The breakfast options and coffee were decent. They had containers on the wall with soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc which were nice quality. We asked for them to be refilled, but no one came in to do it. We had to request any and all housekeeping. The AC in the hallway did not work very well at all which caused issues with the metal room door opening and closing well.

STAY AWAY! Walked into the lobby and was met with intense sewage smell. Got to our room, and it smelled of sewage and wet dog. There was mold in the shower and ants in the room. Went to another room and had same terrible smell. Went back to the desk and they told me I would be refunded. There is still a pending reversal on my CC 6 days later. Then, I see they charged me one night! Opened a case with Hilton with zero help. This hotel is a craphole. We stayed in Marion at a Drury and was SO much nicer!

Terrible place to stay Terrible hotel, worst Hampton experience ever. I stayed at this hotel a year ago when my son went off to college at SIU and we loved it. This year, we were happy to book the same hotel, confident it would be another pleasant stay. It was not pleasant at all. We knew we would be arriving late, checked in online, disclosed estimated time of arrival (after 10PM) and obtained the electronic key so we wouldn't have to stop at the desk. Upon entering the room, it was muggy, hot, smelly (like mildew) and the tile floor at entrance was slick from condensation. Appeared the A/C wasn't working / or just not on. I checked it out quickly, nothing blowing, and when I pressed the down button nothing happened. Went to front desk, clerk came to check out the room, played with the A/C unit a little and got it to kick on. I asked for another room, at first he said they were fully booked and there wasn't another room, then he said maybe there is one and then a 2nd clerk led us to room 111 which was dirty, beds not properly made, towels on the floor. I didn't want a dirty room and it was way too late to get housekeeping to clean the room so we reluctantly took 108, the smelly, muggy room. They spritzed it with air freshener and after about an hour, the A/C pushed the mugginess out and we went nose blind to the smell. And if this was all that happened, I would have chalked it up to nothing is perfect. But the next morning the punches kept coming. Ice machine broken, shower gel dispenser empty, no waffle mix at continental breakfast (so no waffles), cream cheese was warm (not in chilled container), no milk (so cereal wasn't an option). The eggs (round patties of eggs) were cold and the sausage patties rubbery. On the way out (checking out) I asked for manager to fill them in on the state of our stay. She was awful and walked away from me after making a bunch of excuses and saying "I just bought this building". So there it is, new management. As mentioned, i stayed there a year ago and it was wonderful. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It does not measure up to the expectations of a Hilton property.

Stay away at all costs . No refund after a horrible experience Got a call from the front desk on the room phone that I wasn’t checked in. After a 10 min forced conversation I hung and could not get back to sleep. Awake the rest of the night. Woke up to a dirty bar of soap in the shower. Denied a refund by Courtney

Nasty! My experience was horrible from the very beginning. I attempted to make reservations for days, only to be told each time that "the system was down." Finally I got through only to be disappointed upon arrival. One person was ahead of me and I waited 40 minutes because "the systems were down." (This was the excuse 2 weeks earlier when I booked). When I entered my room, the bed had no pillows. The bathroom had a sink full of dirty water. There was a cup of coffee on the counter and a used washcloth thrown on the floor. It was awful. The tub had standing water as well. It was nasty.
