A really enjoyable stay Stayed here for a 3 night solo break to unwind and relax, and I really have managed it. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, the bed was so comfy, and ac was in working order. Teas, coffee, and bottle water are available in the room. Also, it's close to everything, so it's a great base to explore cardiff. Staff are lovely, really helpful, and welcoming. Had room service one night, food was easy to order online, and it was delicious. Also had breakfast on the last day, and I stuck to the cold items, but there was so much verity. Cheese, meat, nice bread, olives, smoothies, fruits, and more! Absolutely delicious. The only slight negative is that one of the lifts is out of order, so sometimes, at busy times, you're either packed in like sardines or there is a wait ( or both) . But that doesn't lower my score as I had a truly wonderful stay

Good Staff..breakfast needs to improve Second time I've stayed at the hotel and its in a great location right at the top of St Mary Street which can be noisy on the weekends. With this in mind I emailed the hotel and asked for a room on a high floor with view of St Mary Street and across the City. Nadine responded by email and was very helpful. Room 803 is highly recommended, great views and could not hear the noise in the early hours on the weekends. There is only one lift working which was a bit inconvenient but by Sunday morning both lifts had stopped working but in fairness to the staff they worked hard to direct you to the staff service lifts. Room was excellent, clean and spacious Reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is similar to other reviews breakfast needs some work, we arrived by 9am, plenty of food but every item was luke warm and agree with others, very bland. The coffee from the machine was also poor. I've stayed here before and likewise similar issues with the breakfast. Would I stay here again, probably as location, rooms and staff are all excellent but if the the breakfast is the same standard, sadly wont be staying again. Met the General Manager as we checked out who was very chatty and apologetic about the lifts.

Great rooms, breakfast disgusting Debated 3 or 4 stars but opted for 4 as ultimately the room was excellent, very comfortable beds and pillows, the blackout curtains were brilliant for a good night's sleep. Shower wasn't very powerful. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Negatives - around 15 people in the bar area, they stopped serving around 11 and a sign on the bar said go to reception for service which we did and were told the only way to get a drink was to go our room and order room service to collect at the bar. What a farce. The breakfast was possibly one of the most disgusting fry ups I have ever had, everything tasted the same and the scrambled egg was inedible.

Great stay - highly recommend the corner view room Had a corner view room and it was a really lovely stay. The bed was very comfy. Bathrobes and fridge in the room. Great view of Cardiff Mary st. Was it a bit noisy from the mayhem of Cardiff on Saturday night - yes - but it didn’t bother me at all. I quite enjoyed sitting in my corner room and just looking at the busy world below. I really did love the room. It was spacious and spotless. I have to mention the staff, who were all really welcoming, helpful and polite. I didn’t mark it 5 as the breakfast wasn’t great. The sausages or eggs tasted sweet which was a bit odd. The one lift was also not in use so had to use the stairs twice which was hard work when your on the 8th floor I would defo stay again but would probably not have breakfast but this is personal choice as other guests seemed to enjoy it .

Great value, great location In a great location, but remarkably quiet nonetheless. Good value room and breakfast was also good value. Only complaint was one of the lifts was not working, but hey it happens.
