Cracking place The hotel is a little worn out in parts of it. But generally I found it to be a really nice place to stay. Reasonably priced (although I know it goes up in summer time cos I’ve already looked at future visits). Nice room. Nice staff. Great location. Felt safe. Clean. The breakfast was a bit overly priced for what it is - although the bacon was banging. But generally would have no issues in booking again. No complaints really.

Angel Hotel, Cardiff We really enjoyed this hotel for its classic charm and welcoming British atmosphere. The breakfast was average, but the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We appreciated the traditional ambiance of the rooms. Although we only stayed for the weekend to visit our son at the university, we loved the hotel's location and Cardiff city. We'll definitely be back.

OK, but there are better in the City Nice spacious room, but in honestly it has seen better days. Looks tired and needs a clean up. Nice and warm and comfortable, but rather dusty. Breakfast was not as expected - I arrived shortly after 7am start and the fried eggs looked rubbery and solid -I passed on those. When I asked for another egg option ie scrambled I was told no, Fried is enough. Coffee was burnt and rather stale.

Night away Booked a suite for a night away and rooms are very worn....either too hot or cold. Breakfast I would give a miss - sausages looked anaemic and the rest less appealing if that is possible. Staff are friendly but it really needs an upgrade and a new menu. Oh and there is not a car park as it is closed .

Recommend Lovely staff, good price, comfy bed but sooooo hot. I think our room must have been above the kitchen as we had noise from extraction and relentless heat all night. The whole hotel seemed very hot though! Lovely,large room,all clean and tidy. Good for an over nighter, just need the heating off!
