Great time Staff were friendly. The room was great. Lovely atmosphere. Moses was great help when needing refreshments from the bar. Receptionists were friendly and warm welcoming when arriving. Breakfast was really good and hot. Plenty of variety for food to choose from.

Unfair parking charges from a hotel ParkinI will never go near this hotel again! While at work, I received an urgent call about a young person in need of emergency accommodation. As we considered different options, I drove to the Mercure Hotel to assess whether they had availability. If we had chosen to use a hotel, I would have simply walked in to check capacity. However, after discussing the situation, we decided on an alternative arrangement. I stayed in my car the entire time, parked in a nearly empty car park, ensuring I wasn’t taking up space meant for hotel guests. Given that it was getting dark, I chose to park there for safety and to take the important phone call without distraction. To my shock, I later received a £100 parking fine for my brief stop. It’s frustrating and disappointing to be penalized in such circumstances,

Great Really good service, food was not the best but problem sorted by staff. Moses the waiter was really good and sorted the meal and very kind. Beer selection really good and reception staff always available to deal with issues. Breakfast also very good.

Better hotels out there for half the price Terrible hotel went there last night for a function, loads of the rooms were freezing cold ,function room was freezing cold poor selection of drinks spoke to one person who had payed for whiskey and coke and was given just coke , lift was dodgy whole place needs a good revamp ,they charge enough !!! We won't be returning

Not worth the money. Went with a large group for a private event booked months in advance. The bar service was poor, badly organised and overpriced. Our room was poorly lit, not all the lights worked. Many in our group had no room heating. Breakfast poor, dried out buffet style. Only one coffee machine working and that broke before the end of breakfast. This hotel is not worth the cost of staying there.
