Great stay at Grand Pacific Palisades across the street from Legoland California This resort and location is so great when staying for a Legoland visit! Surprised that we didn't hear more about this place before a friend told us about it. Literally a 5 min walk to Legoland (through a side gate near the front entrance) which makes it so easy to go back for a rest during the day. The rooms are HUGE! We had a 2 bedroom condo which was almost 1200 sq feet. Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Cannot beat the price point for this amount of space. Also about a 30 min drive to SD Safari park, which was very easy to get to from GPP. We have stayed here twice now and will always stay here when visiting Legoland again. Tentative staff, promptly responds to text messages and helpful in lobby in every way.

OK for convenient access to this area. Great if you are going to Legoland, we were not OK usual RCI booking clean. Bring your own robe if you travel in winter as we did. Skimpy towels. and sauna or pool for adults may be a block away. Broken faucet repaired promptly. Missing amenities replaced by cleaning crew when approached. Not enough luggage haulers we did not have one to use. People probably just left in front of their rooms, not sure how to encourage them to return to basement? 2 adult ladies found unit quiet and we had a good time in San Diego. Place is close to freeway so you can hear the freeway roar if you happen to open the patio door. OK digs

Relaxing Rise at the front desk and our housekeeper Norineli are awesome! Rose was very friendly and welcoming. Our unit was spotless and well made! Maintenance has done an amazing job with the upkeep and attention to detail. Thank you all for a great two night stay!

Location can't be beat We've stayed here several times over the years and each experience gets better because we've continued to upgrade our room. This time we had a two room suite which was plenty of room but the bathroom was not off the bedroom, but off the living room. We had two balconies and a great view of the pool and ocean. One afternoon while we were trying to nap they were playing loud music at the pool. The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk to everything and it's right on the water. It's really best for families with children and is primarily a timeshare but has a hotel. No restaurant on site but so convenient and the little coffee shop across the courtyard is excellent and so convenient. Good parking garage. We had a mildew smell in our room and left the sliding doors open all day and night to avoid the smell. There were roughly 30 in our group and several others had the same complaint. Believe the secret is to ask for a top floor room. I did mention it to the desk clerk and was told that's how it is at the beach which tells me they are not trying to mitigate the problem.
