Loved it! I traveled to Carmel alone because I was on a business trip and stopped over for 2 nights at Wayfarer. It is my first time here. My room was great! More and bigger than expected. Had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom all to myself. I could come in from inside the hotel, and go out right on mission street as my door was right out on the street. Close to everything. James at the front desk was absolutely amazing and friendly! He was happy to see his guests. I was easily walking everywhere, walked to the beach, ocean street and all shops and restaurants are right at the front door. Great location! I was looking at other hotels and reading the reviews. Once walking around Carmel, I am happy with my choice of the hotel. Seems like all the hotels are very similar with limited parking. So this hotel was a great choice. I will definitely return here and bring my family next time.

Good value stay with great location Don’t expect a 5 star hotel in Carmel at this price - what we got was a comfortable family suite (one king and twin beds in a separate room) with a private bathroom. Basic but perfect for one night and a great location. Yes it’s slightly run down, no idea why it says it’s English themed, limited on site parking but free in street, unrestricted parking 3 mins away. Fine for an overnight

You get what you pay for on this one If you can’t afford anything better and you MUST stay in Carmel then you might be happy here. Otherwise, move on… it needs ALOT of maintenance. The heater didn’t work and it was pretty dirty. They advocate “saving water” yet the bathtub leaked badly. Needs help!

Do t let the lower rate reel you in… I won’t waste anymore time on this place….all reviews on all platforms are TRUE! Do not stay here! Owner is equivalent to a slum lord! Filthy, mold, broken items everywhere. The best part….the owner trying MULTIPLE times to charge our card prior to our stay. Absolute worst hotel experience!

Budget Friendly, Basic Amenities A no-thrills inn, budget friendly, basic amenities, GREAT location. Dogs welcome. Location is 2-3 blocks from the main strip of Carmel. Easy access to restaurants and shops but in a quiet neighborhood off the main area. We stayed in room #8 (king room + 2 twins). No microwave, mini fridge, small table with 2 chairs and 1 desk with chair. Little A/C unit cooled the room down quickly. Found a spider + spider website and some of the shutters were broken but didn't bother us. If you want a basic, budget friendly, clean space to sleep with a dog this is probably the cheapest around.
